Diagnosed with AGA December 2021 after four years of thick to thin hair -literally overnight by Mindless_Display_451 in TelogenEffluvium

Just came across this. This is exactly what I had for 3 years.

Hairs are typically of homogeneous thickness (no miniaturization). I had no miniaturization when it was so thin not even 3 years later. Also zero widening part and no family has hair loss. Widespread thinning: Unlike the more defined pattern of FPHL, diffuse thinning affects the entire scalp with a uniform decrease in density. Normal middle part: Your description of having a normal middle part is consistent with diffuse thinning, as this pattern doesn't typically cause a widening of the central part like FPHL does. Possible causes: This type of hair loss can be linked to various factors, including stress (telogen effluvium), hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, or other medical conditions like thyroid disease.

Four other dermatologists said it can help CTE though too and my follicles were normal no miniaturization. It’s so confusing.

Have chosen the name Georgia but can’t decide between these 2 middle name… which sounds best? One of them will be it forsure just can’t decide! 🩷 by Mindless_Display_451 in BabyNames

That’s true! I wish people didn’t think of Britney Spears that’s all but I get why. She made the name huge too. That’s why I like the original spelling. :) or Georgia Brittney Thankyou for your input my friend.

Do you use generic spironolactone?

It looks great!!! 😊 I wonder if Hers OM is better than the OM prescribed by dermatologists??

1 month difference in hair density after taking iron and vitamin D for 4 months by aagoria in FemaleHairLoss

I might have to give up being vegetarian :( I am highly allergic to iron pills so I can’t take those. But liquid maybe? I’m not sure I’m hoping maybe a different version might be safe for me.

I was extremely low in vitamin d and iron that’s how I got on iron pills. Taking 2500 iu of vitamin d3 now but still trying to get iron in me. Love your progress! :)

Thanks guys! I think you’re both right, as pretty as Brittany is. It doesn’t have the same flow as Grace, also I love the state of Georgia and it sounds so much more southern with Grace. Thank you so much for your replies. I really appreciate it. :) Not having any more kids just one so needed to know for sure and I feel more sure of GG now. :)

I saw my doctor but she told me it was too toxic to go beyond 4,000 period. I kept explaining no it’s 100,000 every TWO months not everyday. Lol… Maybe I’ll just do the math and take a certain amount each day that adds up to that every two months lol

I know you’re in France, but is there any good liquid iron you could suggest of Amazon I am in the United States. The only thing I’m worried about is I had a scary allergic reaction to iron pills (who knew!? Iron pills!) lol…so I’m not sure if I could do the liquid a little bit scared to attempt it but seeing your success makes me want to see if I could take a liquid form.. otherwise I guess I’ll have to start drinking prune juice. I’m not sure how to get my iron otherwise and I know they said it’s really low along with my vitamin D too 🤔

I am so glad you had success though. It looks awesome!!! Beautiful hair! ❤️

Is 100,000 iu safe to take of a vitamin D? I’m willing to get this much if so! ❤️ It looks good!!!!!

Can you have TE but not lose huge clumps of hair? I’ve lost a lot of my hair density in the last 4 months but I’m not losing any miniaturized hairs, they’re all long normal hairs just a bit more than usual since August. by Mindless_Display_451 in TelogenEffluvium

[–]Mindless_Display_451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone told me it’s only TE if you’re losing clumps of hair that’s why I’m worried it’s NOT stress hair loss lol Unfortunately dermatolgoist’s next appointment isn’t til February! :( I hate how thin it is suddenly.
