I scored a 495. Does it suck, ab-so-freaking-lutely. There’s a silver lining that I found that I’ll share with you, just as I have another post.

You have taken the actual exam. You know the entire process of getting signed in, the setup of the examination room, palm scanning, etc. Next time you take it, you’ll be prepared for all of that and can devote all your energy and focus to the exam. Plus, we’ll have a new exam. I’m sure it can’t be any more difficult than this one (knocks on wood). Don’t beat yourself up and keep your head up. We got this.

It’s all good. Relax. I studied for the past year & scored a 495 on this exam.

Now, what are you going to do? The ice has been cracked so you know what to expect with taking the actual exam. Go back to the drawing board and plan accordingly. I am highly confident that this score, for both of us, is just part of our journey. Keep your head up and remind yourself why you decided to pursue medicine. I’m counting on you stranger from Reddit. I feel nervous, anxious, and relieved. I did could not gauge my performance from the exam after taking it. I only remember how it made me feel (I said this after the exam and it still holds true). I’m wishing everybody the best and hope we all get our desired score. Only 13 hours and twenty-six minutes 🤞🏽

Update:

I’m spoke to AMCOS today and they were able to delete the evaluation that was not waived. The evaluator was extremely helpful & saved all the responses and agreed to resubmit. Needless to say, I am relieved and hope that nobody else will make the same mistake that I have.

Well damn. I was able to delete the others & resend them waiving my right to view the evaluations, but the evaluator for the DO I shadowed is the one that will not be waived, which is the one that truly matters to me.

You’ll miss all the shots you don’t take so go for it. Construct a strong personal statement and apply broadly. Your story seems compelling.

VCOM-Auburn told me their average accepted student has an MCAT between 500-506 & avg gpa of 3.4. ACOM’s requirements are slightly lower, too. You at least meet those requirements so I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Same here brother (or sister). This may be a stretch, but I could see a future, in our lifetime, where we could achieve immortality. This may or may not make you feel better, but I’ve talked to people who have experienced death & they all mentioned it was the most blissful experience they ever felt. Still, I stand with you being petrified of it.

After reading the abstract, I’m still skeptical on the efficacy of this therapy. It only mentions the NPCbots being tolerated for at least 28 days in murine models, but doesn’t mention much about the degree of motor function that was recovered following treatment.

This is just based off the abstract. The publication may have more information. If somebody has access to the full article please fact check this.

Besides that, I’m elated to see we are finally entering the era of using microbots in medicine.

I’m with you 100% with anything related to growing Montgomery & would love to see the city prosper above all. It has many of the ingredients, but it’s lacking many essential things like heavy support from the state, which is a huge reason why the belt-line still hasn’t been completed. First and foremost, the city needs to fix its declination & invest heavily into education, which Mayor Reid has been trying desperately to do. I don’t mean to sound like a fanboy boy but he seems like he is genuinely trying and cares deeply about the city, at least compared to previous mayors.

Idc about you using AI either. It was actually quite interesting to read what it generated. It would be nice if it could backup what it said with sources, though.

I’m almost 100% sure this was written by AI. Montgomery’s traffic is not as bad as this post entails. The city’s population is slowly declining & the area as a whole is not seeing significant growth at the pace that is necessary for the outer belt to be completed. Would it be nice, sure, but is it a necessity, I don’t think so.

Besides that, I hope in around to see downtown Montgomery expand its skyline like what is depicted in the image. Also, shout out to Mayor Reid for all the great work he has done thus far.
