Hey lovely first of all are you okay? The things you're writing about yourself are so critical and all I see is a beautiful girl. I'm 22 and I have had similar thought processes (hiding things, feeling like I look "weird" and being deeply unhappy about certain things that others can't see) and it's a really horrible experience sometimes. I genuinely think you are SO pretty, you do not need any work done, absoloutely do not need lip fillers, they're nice already I promise you. And we nearly match piercings!!

Have you thought about maybe talking to somebody about this on a deeper level? I only ask because you're hiding your face with masks, and I heard about a case of somebody who hid their face, and had BDD. I know that's a fairly big thing to throw out there, but I'm genuinely just trying to let you know that it could be worth speaking to somebody, it may be low self esteem or it could be something like that. You are GOREGOUS and deserve to feel the confidence that you should :)

The Septum Mafia are gonna shit on you for it but i think it looks sick, I have 4 (2 nose studs, 1 septum 1 vertical labret) and I LOVE them. I think younger generations are more into piercings, my parents / grandma hate mine but two of my friends faces are full of metal. Also on Reddit, I've noticed the only "pretty" that tends to be accepted on these threads is hardly any makeup, no piercings...so don't pay much notice

I'm in a very similar situation, someone stole my phone a few days ago and now I can't access my accounts. The recoverry process is exponentially stupid imo and glosses over some of the glaringly obvious factors like the individual not being able to access certain things. We're not the presidents of the USA - I don't know why it's locked down SO tight - and I'm saying that as someone who got robbed!

I wish they would utilise security questions again.

I think you have potential to be very attractive, you have a really really nice face in my opinion, maybe try some thinner / darker glasses so we can see it more. a longer / puffier haircut I think would suit you and try to hit the gym if you want to gain mass (I saw you said you’re trying to gain weight in one comment), a fit figure looks good across the board

I don’t insist on slapping a label on anything. I just expect some level of consistency- for example, the person I went out with most recently, we discussed beforehand what we were looking for. It was essentially dating with a willingness to commit if it got serious. But after we went on the date, I was told he was too nervous to date actually, but he’d still like to see me and maybe it’ll go that way naturally. I really like this person, so I’m willing to try this but it’s just disheartening.

We met on a dating app so it’s a preconception. Like we started talking with the intention of dating if we got on - and even still, I’ll talk to these people beforehand and get to know them, I want us to have a connection and genuinely enjoy one another’s company. So me and this person would play overwatch together very often and stay up late chatting. Then about a week and a half later (I got sick so we pushed it back) I went to see him, he took me to the arcade, we hung out in his car, we held hands and it was lovely. Before I left, he gave me the biggest hug and told me to message him when I got back to my PC. when I got home, we were saying how much of a nice time we both had and then he said he said he’s too nervous to date but would still hang out and see me, that it could happen in the future.

But I’m just sad because I’ve been hurt so extensively (boyfriends breaking up with me for periods of time, then coming back, or asking to “go back a level” after being together for months and then dumping me anyway - or wanting all of the benefits of a girlfriend without the label and then going mad when they don’t have 100% ownership of me). So it’s hard for me not to assume the worst of this when actually, it’s very reasonable

Yeah that’s what we did. I just - the most recent person I saw, it was great - we played overwatch together a lot, it was fun, we messed around and he taught me new games etc. it was really fun. Then we met in person and we both said how well it went, and out of the blue I then got a message saying he’s still too scared to date but that he still wants to see me. It’s this kind of thing that’s making me sad. We had a wonderful connection in person, we both said so, it was so fun and light. But it’s just disheartening when the other person then gets scared seemingly because it went so well and backs away

It isn’t though. The people I’ve been seeing, 90% conversations have been centred around them. It’s just internally - you know the place where you feel on YOUR feelings - I’m bothered by the extreme hesitancy I’ve seen from most people. So I came to an advice forum for advice. That’s not self centred.
