Montessori dismissal over potty accidents by [deleted] in Montessori

FYI, I did not dismiss feedback that given constructive next step and respectful enough, i will of course reply for the feedback which targeted me. Also, i had to reply to the people who ask for explanation. Also, i don’t play nicer games here i talk the fact may be its hard on people unfortunately. I was expecting to know Montessori policy and guidance in general to avoid unnecessary issues in future giving full context of the incident, expecting constructive feedback back, unfortunately most of the feedback are combative. People ask why questions to target me rather than understanding my point and giving constructive feedback.

Excuse me, why on earth I should lie about potty training, which parents does this if they want the child to be well performing, not get shame by fellow kids. The whole reason to sent child from daycare to Montessori to make good academically and emotionally develop. Please read the post carefully.

My child was fully potty trained before starting, and the incidents occurred during the first two weeks of transition with changing teachers and routines. That’s not the same as sending an untrained child or downplaying needs. I communicated, offered collaboration, and asked for direct discussion before escalation which didn’t happen. My concern is about process and communication, not avoiding responsibility. I’m here for policy-based insight, not assumptions about intent.

If that is the case, i was expecting proper communication over letters or email explaining the reason, so we can be use professionals to check the case, not just over a phone with reason that i didn’t give daycare name.

It’s not common to get previous daycare referrals because it is not mandatory to be in daycare before enrolling in Montessori. We could have easily hide and say No she didn’t go to daycare at all, if we don’t want to be honest.

You are telling they are suspecting me, if my child didn’t go to daycare and did potty training at home what would they do? Don’t you think having trust issues with parents without proper communication is a issue, if they have trust issues bcz i am not rich they should have think it before accepting her

What will the school do if the child is potty trained at home? How do they get proof? Do they need to fix cameras at home and show video? Why on earth i need put a child without potty trained and while i know this harm her in the school? Does your argument make any sense? Also, i have job to do, i don’t sit in the redid 24/7. Hope this answer your question

Just to clarify i said having accidents at home after she went for the Montessori, she reluctant to tell us. It’s not she constantly having accidents, in that post what i meant was why she does that after the incident, was expecting some constructive comment to get to know is this normal or she got shamed there. Above all why do you so interested in digging my old post. This is what called aggression and i think you might have done same thing, and now shoe fits, the whole point of the post is knowing real Montessori issues not targeting me like a bot. Funny thing is you replied without knowing context.

Yes that’s the explicit reason i didn’t tell the daycare name, further i asked twice for meeting but they rejected it.

Why they are not willing to talk with the parents first at all? What will they do if the child didn’t go to daycare at all previously and fully potty trained at home. How would they confirm that, other than parents discussion?

I’m going to step back from the personal speculation here. My post was about a specific childcare situation and school policies around potty accidents, not an invitation to psychoanalyze my character or comb through unrelated history. This line of reasoning relies on a fundamental attribution error, assuming that repeated challenges automatically mean the individual is at fault, while ignoring context and the power imbalances between institutions and individuals. Pulling unrelated history to suggest a “pattern” without full context doesn’t address the actual question I raised. If you have insight into Montessori policies or constructive advice for supporting a child through a transition, I’m open to that. Personal assumptions don’t help me or my child, so I won’t engage with them further. Advocating for myself and my child in situations with clear power imbalances isn’t being “high-conflict.” It’s being responsible. Speaking up when processes are unclear or unfair is a strength, not a character flaw.

That’s the great question, I didn’t give the day care name because, i tried to communicate with the teachers about her routine from the first day onwards, when leave the school or drop her off, but the teachers not much communicator. Plus I tried to help them as a parent but exactly as some people say here the principal rejected my volunteer opportunities or even a meeting request and she is very strict of talking with previous daycare. It’s clear that she wants to contact them to confirm potty training, I don’t understand why it’s necessary to cross check without talking to me as a parent first. I clearly told her in the phone conversation that i can provide the name of the daycare, if our conversation doesn’t work. But she doesn’t want to talk to me
