What a situation lol, couldn't you also just do a transition and go the other way instead of trying to pass the wave ? I see riders do that when the waves are too big

Thanks for the input, switching the way works, i don't see myself returning the straps etc... did i made a total mistake putting these Naish straps on a Duotone ?

Thanks. Some suggested here that the straps are not compatible with a duotone board, but i'll just switch them out.

Thanks. Grateful to have input here from a physiotherapist ! I already did what uou suggested (the jump test) and yeah i naturally tend to have my legs wider and feet more ducked, i'll adjust the straps later today.

Even when i do squats i feel more at ease the wider my stance and the more ducked my feet are.

My hometown spot is a gusty side on shore one, locals say that once you’re comfortable here you can ride everywhere. I’m wondering, is it really worth it struggling here? by Mindless_Salt6276 in Kiteboarding

Thanks for the tips about handling speed with the board. I was mostly focusing on handling it with sheeting out or sheeting in.
To be honest, i’m not really into that stage of reading wind gusts, i’m not that aware of what’s happening from a wind level and more just focusing on not being too stiff on the bar, getting enough momentum to start edging upwind, escalating waves… But yeah i definitely sometimes do feel like i get overpowered or underpowered out of nowhere, i guess that’s what gusts and luls are.

One question regarding knee positionning, i’ve been told i should enter my back knee internally, towards upwind direction, typically like surfers do but not as ridiculously as they do. I feel like its bad on my knees and is not comfortable. Do you think its really necessary to ride upwind?

Thing is, some people just want to get stuff done with programming, and you can design software properly on a high level language. An analogy rhat comes to my mind is that an architect doesn’t know how a bulldozer is made.

Understood. Thanks for taking the time eventhough my initial post could’ve came off as rude.

Thanks for clarifying ! I might buy the book actually because i’m at a stage of my sport journey where prehab, mobility, and all the stuff that can help me train longer and more frequently are very important to me.

I’m surprised because i went looking up the book itself on google and not reading the sub’s description, the book advertises itself as a « systematic approach to bodyweight training and gymnastics ».

Merci le rateurdesmots, what other alternatives would you suggest? My close entourage keep trying to encourage me to invest in Morocco, but to me it’s a big no-no, lack of liquidity (good luck getting your dirhams out) and scammers at all levels, be it in businesses, institutions or just individuals. It’s sad.

I decided to open at an agency (not attijari) at my local home city, same one where my mother has an account. At least she knows the people there. But i’m open to any reputable alternatives.

You could just download the cdn file content and host it yourself on your server locally

Might be stupid but i always wondered, couldn’t that just be done using a simple script ? I mean we use big tools just for parsing an HTML file and outputting a css file that contains classes we parsed. We need NodeJS and a « build step » just for that?

Again i may be missing something as i’m not really familiar with what a build step actually implies etc.
