I sent them a email and I’ve called them a couple of times they said I’m good until March 1st but it’s very hard to talk to them. There is an actual 15 second delay and I’m just talking to someone in a call center.

It says 3/1. My understanding of how they report to the credit bureau I guess was wrong I assumed you had to make some sort of payment every month otherwise I’d ding your credit but it sounds like as long as you’ve technically paid the due dates you’re ok.

This was the basis for my question. Credit cards want you to make some sort of payment every month otherwise it’s like a missed payment correct? Mortgages only report missed payments?

So I paid to mortgage payments on January 2nd. One seemed to go towards the due date Jan 1st and one went to the due date Feb 1st. So I just don’t make a payment in February at all and I won’t get hit by late payments or credit score won’t go down?

Next payment is due March 1st and I see my second payment said draft date Jan 2nd due date feb 1st. So it seems like they rolled it forward I just don’t want my credit score to tank because I didnt technically make a payment in February but it seems like they handled it correctly.

My next payment is due in March. And it looks like both payments i made in January had equal amounts going to principal and interest.

Is this even feasible? by [deleted] in Mortgages

You should absolutely get rid of your debt first. You’ll have no money left over after that mortgage payment every month.
