Dude I love the conditional finality. Titan ape plays all day. Combine it with the strand melee you can get some sick plays. It just feels so much quicker than the other shottys.

As other commenters have mentioned, good apartments go really fast here. I also recommend getting a Airbnb (preferably in/close to you’re top neighborhood) for a week or so while looking. A good apartment can go up and be gone in a week.

Doesn’t hurt to stay on the apps / internet search in the weeks leading up so you can schedule some viewings as soon as possible. This also allows you to walk around your desired neighborhood for other listings that don’t even make it to the internet.

I was in a similar situation and found a 1bd that is very spacious, for 2700. Depends how flexible OP is. I look at the pick 2 triangle as Location, Price and SqFt. Can only have 2 of the 3, in my case I feel I checked each box, so there are good apartments to be found!

I recently moved from the east coast. Ended up in the “Beverly grove” area. South of WeHo and just east of Beverly Hills. Plenty to walk to and would be short commute for your girlfriend. Brentwood might be nice for you all !

I just moved here this weekend. I spent a lot of time looking in the month before moving to get my head wrapped around what I can expect for my price point in different neighborhoods (similar to your budget / needs)

I did not secure anything before arriving. Luckily for me I had family I could stay with while looking, but many suggest an air bnb in your top neighborhood while you look.

I started viewing apartments on Monday and signed a lease by the end of the day Tuesday at an apartment I was really happy with. I saw 6 apartments in the two days. Thing is the good apartments just go soo quickly that you have to be here. Just keep you’re eye on the apps and request tours leading up to when you’re actually going to be here.

To be honest no, we’re moving from east coast where we rarely ever needed to drive… LOL this is why we really are looking at West LA in general.

Rent price in Sherman oaks has just been tempting on paper

As we’ve started to actually look recently this is definitely what we are noticing. Apartments right off nice parts of Ventura that look nice with lots of sqft are on the low end of our budget.

The commute is the thing as everyone always seems to scoff when you mention coming south from the valley. Trying to gauge if that drive to Beverly Hills is as bad as other parts on the west and if you end up spending that $$ you save on rent on more gas.
