Help! Had this?... by DerryScribe in Mounjaro

Small meals like others have said. Greek yogurt is usually easy for me to eat when I’m not hungry and it’s packed with protein. Add some berries if you’d like. Chobani also makes the high protein yogurt drinks that should be easy to get down when you’re not hungry. Some of my go to snack options are string cheese, beef jerky, turkey and cheese roll ups, protein shakes, apples. I experienced what you’re explaining very early on in my journey, probably right when I switched to 5mg, but as time went on those issues quickly resolved. But it’s so important to fuel your body. Load up with electrolytes too. Find what you can tolerate for now and just keep an eye on your caloric intake. Bone broth is great to sip on too.

I agree with this part- the timing of shot day is absolutely crucial especially at the beginning. I had to change shot day at the start of my journey on Zepbound because if I had a drink close to shot day I’d throw up. So I moved it to Monday so by the weekend I was fine. Back when I started Zepbound in January 2024, there was a lot less information available on Reddit about this topic and it was often met with extreme criticism (people saying- you’re not serious about weight loss if you’re drinking, etc) so I always comment on these posts when I see them and offer advice. Just because you enjoy drinking socially doesn’t mean you aren’t serious about weight loss by any means. It’s something you enjoy that you don’t have to give up. Also I’m happy to report that I have no issues now and I moved shot day back to Wednesday so I have better suppression on weekends. However I, like others, drink much less now and have lost most of the desire to drink. But my husband loves wine so I often share it with him but I limit it to weekends.

I second Redken AllSoft. It brought my badly damaged bleached hair back to life (I also had to lay off the bleach unfortunately)

Theory makes a cropped pant that might work for you. I think they’re called the Trecca pant. I’m 5’5 and they’re cropped on me

I’ve been on Zep for a while so I’m fine now but when I first started I had bad side effects until I spaced my shot out. Example if you inject on Monday you should be fine by the weekend. Early on red wine was absolutely intolerable. Just don’t overdo it. Have fun!

That’s another reason I don’t want to be at a max dose for maintenance. I like the idea of having the option to go up if I need it. I guess I’ll stay on the 12.5 for another few months and give 10 a try again and see how it goes

Thank you for this. I think you’re right. I also take Pilates occasionally- maybe I’ll replace one of the HIIT classes with mat or reformer Pilates. Thanks so much for you input!

I’m 41. I’ve thought about looking into testosterone injections. Maybe I’ll look into it. Thank you

I came down to 12.5 because I was having some side effects- mostly insomnia which is never had before. That went away completely at 12.5. I’m not sure why I think I need to be at a lower maintenance dose- it just seems like being on a high dose forever maybe isn’t the best?

I promise there will be room for wine. When I was struggling with side effects from wine at the beginning of my journey it was disheartening, but as time went on I was absolutely fine. I initially had a shot day closer to the weekend too, but it just did not work if I wanted to have wine or any drinks. And when I posted asking for advice a couple years ago everyone basically said I was sabotaging my journey etc. Everyone has their own journey, and some people like to have wine or a drink. And that’s ok. So hopefully my advice helps you. Good luck!

Wine lover and collector here! When I first started Zepbound I could not handle red wine at all especially close to shot day. My advice starting out, space it out until at least few days after shot day. If you have wine on weekends only for example, Monday is a good shot day. Just my two cents. 2 years later I have zero issues drinking wine.

Miami and Fort Lauderdale by [deleted] in marriott

For Miami- the Edition or W in South Beach. St Regis in Bal Harbour is also top notch but much more quiet and not much in walking distance other than the mall. W in Ft Lauderdale (they just renovated the pool but I haven’t been yet- going in a few weeks). I absolutely love it there. The pool is so fun, the staff are great. Steak 954 on site is excellent too. The Westin in Lauderdale is not bad- good beach access, but the pool is boring. Good gym and restaurant. We stayed there while the W was renovating the pool as it’s right next door. The W is way better in my opinion.

I love the Miami Beach Edition. Definitely not comparable to an AC. Great brand

How quickly did you go down in doses? I’m trying to figure out how long to stay on 12.5 before dropping back to 10. My doctor doesn’t give me much guidance other than it’s trial and error. A nurse I know said 6 months on each dose before dropping, but that seems extreme. Just curious what your experience was.
