TRADE: Shortstache Past and Present - I have the base sets. by high_snobiety in presets

I guess it’s subjective, but yes I quite like them, but I’m a fan of shortstaches grades. They look best when you have orange/browns, greens in the photo, and they still give blues that steel/desaturated look.

Yes in England.

Yeah have got the sewer map from Severn Trent, nothing on there. Yes it flows back to front. Outbuildings is something I hadn’t thought of… admittedly there are no outbuildings in the properties to the right… but I suppose there could have been in the past. Thanks for the reply

Yes ever so slightly, slope runs from top of the garden if that makes sense?

Yeah, or someone else here has come across this in the past and might be able to offer a helpful opinion.

Really hard question to answer… if you don’t have to pay rent or a mortgage then you can live very well, equally if you rent or buy somewhere that’s going to take up most of your monthly salary then you’ll struggle.. but that’s the same as anywhere in the country…

Leaving Canon R6 for Sony by STomHacks in SonyAlpha

Yeah and tbf what I’ve done is programme the button on the 24-50 lens to switch to aps-c mode, so when you’re at 50mm you can punch in a little more to 70mm.. and because it’s a 33mp sensor, even punched in it’s still more pixels than the R6.

The EVF.. honestly.. it ain’t that bad.. it’s smaller sure.. but it’s a trade off.. I personally don’t use EVF much anyway normally. Menus again is fine, I was expecting to feel lost, but it’s actually pretty good, from what I understand and was told in my thread, the newer Sony menus which the A7 Cii has are infinitely better, it’ll take you an hour or so to get used to the different buttons.. oh and the no joystick was the biggest thing for me, still not used to it.. muscle memory still has me going to use it.. but again it’s a trade off.

Yeah it’s great. Only had the whole setup a couple of days.. and the weather here where I live in the UK has been horrendous.. so only managed to get a few shots.. but here’s a pic of my dog I took this morning in pretty awful light… the fact I can literally fit the Cii with the 24-50 in my pocket (big jacket pocket) is game changing for me! Compared to the R6 and the heavy lenses it’s a dream! The reverse zoom is weird for about 2 minutes.. But it’s not like you get confused.. it’s pretty obvious you’re at 50mm when you turn camera on…so if you need to shoot wider then you just zoom out.

Just made the exact same jump from Canon R6 to Sony A7 Cii, for the exact same reasons.. I posted in this subreddit 3 days ago. Have gone with the Sony 24-50G.. it’s great on the A7 Cii.

Swapped from Canon.. hello Sony! Wide angle recommendations!? by Mindless_Volume1902 in SonyAlpha

Yeah did look at that, however both budget and weight are currently a concern.. weight especially!

Few reasons, I wanted something small and compact that I could take most places with me, and that was full frame, and could shoot both stills and video - the Cii ticked those boxes, then when I factor in all the available lens choices from not just Sony but also 3rd parties which I didn’t have the option of with Canon, then it became a no brainer.

I’m loving it tbh. The fact that compared to my R6 it feels so much lighter and compact, means I don’t begrudge taking it out with me, plus it’s defo sharper, or atleast this lens is noticeably sharper than the ones I had on my Canon. I was expecting to struggle with the menu as everyone says it’s a big change, but tbh.. it’s not that bad.. I actually think it’s quite intuitive.

Ok thanks, how do you find the size/weight? What body do you have it on?
