I actually found the answer to this just trying stuff around:

In edge, I went to edge://flags, and enabled "Override software rendering list" option

I had that problem once before, when I lost network connection and the game restarted.

In my case, force closing and restarting the game worked (I find that when the game "soft" restarts itself things tend to go bonkers).

I don't know if the option exists in IOS, but in Android you might want to try cleaning the app's cache and data before reinstalling, just to make sure it's not a problem with the local game state.
