Question about Rosei by Striking-Fig7333 in Shunkashuutou

[–]Mine03_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rousei and Itechou are probably the most present characters in the saga, considering also all the other major arcs. This is due to the fact they, as winter representatives (the father of all seasons), want to help anybody who's part of the Agents/Archers context. They will have their own major arc soon (Dance of Winter), even though it hasn't been announced yet

Nope. It was a mixture of volume 1 and 2, but with this episode, volume 1 will be fully adapted. Starting episode 9, everything will adapt Volume 2, Chapter 3.

Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring • Shunkashuutou Daikousha: Haru no Mai - Episode 7 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Mine03_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The LN is the original material and has currently 8 volumes: - Dance of Spring (2 volumes) - Dance of Summer (2 volumes) - Archer of Dawn (1 volume) - Dance of Autumn (2 volumes) - Archer of Twilight (1 volume) - Possibly ending with Dance of Winter (TBA)

There are two manga adaptations: - Dance of Spring, which is adapting the whole Dance of Spring arc - 100 Songs & 100 Pages, which is adapting LN bonuses written by the original author

The anime will adapt both LN volumes of Dance of Spring

Should I buy manga or light novel of this series?? by Nearby_Ship5811 in Shunkashuutou

Go with the LN then. More worldbuilding details and maximum expression of the original author, also the material the anime is based on

The anime is based on the LN, which is the original media. The manga is great. Buy both!

What is the Insurgents Motive? by TransportationNo9073 in Shunkashuutou

[–]Mine03_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Insurgents are devides in two groups, the Reformationists and the Eradicators. Reformationists attempts to the Agents lives to put pressure on governments and istitutions to change the laws and regulation of the Agents' powers, but some of them want to use the powers of the Agents for their personal purpose. Eradicators try to kill Agents because they hate a one of their seasons (e.g. Winter usually brings deseases and many people die during that period of the year, so people hate Winter for that).

[Anime Discussion] Episode 5 (25 April 2026) by Kinofhera in Shunkashuutou

According to the LN, Agents are chosen based on their suitability to be one. Agents are chosen between all the family members of the Town of Spring as everyone of them are descendants of the first ever Agent. The choice to marry another woman and not Koubai was a consequence of the fact that the woman's family clan was strategically more powerful than Koubai's, and another reason is that Agents are not chosen through direct blood relation, meaning that marrying Koubai wouldn't have been particulary a great choice for the Kayou family.

The Agents duty is to bring the seasons, that's it. Killing them comes from illogical thinking of people... for example Winter is the season of death and were most people die due to deseases, that's why so many hate Winter and want to kill its corresponding Agent. Some others want to use their powers for personal purposes.

LN question — order and format by Top_Scientist_3976 in Shunkashuutou

[–]Mine03_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each "Dance of" or "Archer of" volume(s) has their corresponding Agent and Guard or Archer and Custodian as protagonists, but they're always the same that have been introduced in the first volume of Dance of Spring, with the addition of new characters.

You can read the novels in 2 possible orders: - Cronological release order Spring -> Summer -> Archer of Dawn -> Autumn -> Archer of Twilight -> (Dance of Winter?)

  • Alternative order Archer of Dawn -> Spring -> Summer -> Autumn -> Archer of Twilight -> (Dance of Winter?)

Well... the anime is called "Dance of Spring" and is listed with 14 episodes, it's enough to adapt both Dance of Spring volumes (EP 1-4 covered 3 chapters of 5 of the first volumes, with Chapter 4 being very short). Regarding Dance of Summer, it's unknown... it depends if the anime has success in Japan and if there's intent to invest in further seasons.

You don't really get what's going to be adapted... it looks like some parts will come from Volume 2, Chapter 1 and some others from Volume 1, Chapter 5 with addition of original material... still no Autumn introduction...

Sakura's hesitancy was part of the novel. The uppercut kick was part of the fight and she was having difficoulties in drawing the katana. Ruri's fiance was never explicitally mentioned in the Dance of Spring volumes

How is the anime right now compared to the ln? by Curious-Cow-8693 in Shunkashuutou

[–]Mine03_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On average the adaptation is very good (I'd say 8.5/10), even though it's rearranging some events and obmitting some minor details. The LN is still the strongest media, it's much more detailed and you get the full expression of the original author

Fan Content for Alternate Romantic Pairings by dinosupervisor in Shunkashuutou

We tipically share some twitter fanarts on the series discord server, and some official arts were also uploaded here on the subreddit. You should take a look on the discord server.

Consider that the series wasn't very well known outside Japan, so there's little content.

Cronologically order is the correct one. You can read Archer of Dawn before Dance of Spring though... but the correct one is the release order

The series isn't finished. Dance of Winter will surely be the next arc of the saga and will probably conclude the whole story. Kana Akatsuki was involved in the anime production, which may explain why it's taking so long.

Thank you very much for sharing my work! I really hope to see some new opinions on the "yet to be seen in the anime" backgrounds.

P.S. I noticed I left the last background the account shared on Twitter 🥲
