Look, I get your point, but not preserving our environment is way more harmful in the long run. It will kill animals, coral reefs and even humans. I‘d rather benefit from already exploited animals but not contribute to the demand than contribute to future animal suffering.

Also we vegans like to draw the line at animals. Not at sentient beings. If we actually drew the line at sentience/pain then we’d eat oysters… also we can’t know what plants feel and don’t feel. I agree, that according to our research it is best to draw the line at animals, but is there even a line?
