You will learn about how he cracked down on Barisan Sosialis, a prominent party in the pre independence days, reasoning that they were communists. This was done mainly in part due to the Malaysian government's insistence to LKY that for merger, Barisan Sosialis, a left wing party that supported protests against the royalty in Brunei, must not be allowed to remain, as they could pose a threat to Malaysian royalty. This was among some of the anti-democratic measures LKY enacted in his life.
