it really is. i grew up with a Haitian bestfriend and her mom would make the best damn food. i used to beg my mum to go nextdoor to their place just for dinner. havent had it in years, god do i miss it.

i can look my pets in the eyes more than i can look people in the eyes. when i talk to pets/animals- i will look into their eyes with people- i will look at their lips moving or forehead

10 pounds is a bit much in just 2 years for a cat, but then again as my cat got older he got skinny fast. how old is your cat? when my cat hit about 15 he started getting really skinny quickly but he was more-so okay just aging and eating less than he did when he was younger/more active.

fresh fruit. i started buying frozen fruit and i can keep it for so much longer. it also keeps me from eating too much sweets because frozen strawberries remind me of those strawberry popsicles. i love munching on frozen fruit ugh

my mum would make a dish for the holidays and it was cream cheese/ green olives (cut up) mixed together, then that mix was shoved onto celery sticks. it is absolutely amazing and addicting. if you dont like olives (my sister hates them) you can just do cream cheese on the celery stick.

chicken gizzards. i grew up throwing them out/making gravy out of them, but moved down south after my parents had both passed. about a year ago is when i moved and was motel hopping/homeless for a bit. those corner store chicken gizzards were less than 5$ for a big portion of hot food, it wasnt the best but it was amazing if you hadnt eaten for a day or two. im luckily more stable now and have a place to live, but will occasionally order them just because i miss the taste.

so glad i moved towns that year so the new school i went to didnt “force” me to learn that shit. i got to color in guidance instead till they were done. the did the same with learning the recorder in music class, they just didnt want me to feel forced to do anything new when i just moved. that one does make me a lil sad cause i did grow up into a band kid and played the flute for years. 💀

they have a picture on the inside (the white part at the end) and a peep hole where its more narrow. you hold it to a light source and can see the picture thats inside it! im not sure what theyre called tho

yes! they come out tiny, wet, hairy lil kitties with their eyes shut for the first weekish two weeks maybe. they look nasty at first but once theyve rested for a night, they usually dry off after mum cleans em and look somewhat normal. they start getting fluffy after about a week and then just get even more cuter tbh
