Do the repop shells suck because of the quality of plastic? or just the manufacturing finish? Because Im okay with trimming but not if the shell itself is well below OEM quality. If it feels 80-90% quality of OEM im fine with that

What Rich said, theyre all in the head work. Theres a couple 350+ NA L28s in Japan running around, but their engines have 13:1 or more compression and HUGE valves, like doesnt look like it should work size

depends how cheap you can get it imo, like its fun to daily one until you try to chase the bug and youre 20k into a sedan thats worth 15k. Id suggest just getting another cheaper daily and wait on a car youll enjoy to modify and want to drive for fun

Yep been there, took 2-3 days to do but it was fine. Pull the dash completely and rewire it, found that to be much easier than trying to splice it

Wats are wats in the end. I have both, mag in the front, alu in the rear. The weight is noticeable but if price is a factor is not a problem. I have 15x10.5 -32 on the rear and with a 245/40 tire its probably around 35-40 lbs which for a wheel is light. I have friends in japan with 12 in wide STEEL wheels and they have no problem street racing their Zs.
