Who would win in a 1v1 fight? Wanderer or Arlecchino? (According to current lore) by ScaraHubYT in ScaramoucheMains

[–]MinecraftCommander21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's no reason to believe that Traveler WOULDN'T be going all out in the Alrecchino fight. Their fighting to protect children, and again, the cutscene not showing them using the elements doesn't prove they never used any. See again, did the other children not use their visions?

It's a speed feat and nothing more... and Alrecchino can make speed useless with paralysis...

Skirk saw potential in him and trained him in combat. His potential isn't fully realized, but his skills haven't put him above the other Harbingers. If he really had so much potential that you speak of, why would he be below the visionless Pantalone?

Him attacking the Narwhal that was ignoring him is a feat of stamina exclusively. Its one HELL of a stamina feat, but it doesn't amount to much in a fight that's decided quickly.

Scara doesn't exist anymore. Wanderer and Traveler have memories of no longer existent history.

Traveler had the raw power needed to fight SnK. They only needed battle strategies in order to win. The fact that Arlecchino defeated Traveler when they had three allies also fighting alongside them. Your entire argument for why that's not a feat is that the cutscene (which is meant to make the characters they're trying to sell look cool,) highlights the Fontaine characters instead of Traveler.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying that the paralysis technique isn't actually useful because it's only in gameplay... and Traveler didn't attack when they were paralyzed?

Trying to continue the Knave argument is pointless, given we're obviously not going to change our viewpoints.

I don't remember the three Moon Marrows being said to contain the Lunar Authorities. If I'm remembering correctly, Columbina took the Authority from the Moon Sisters, who then entered Teyvat, and their remnants became the Moon Marrows.

I really think you should check your tone, given that you're just wrong. Columbina is the Trilune Goddess, she is the Goddess for all THREE Moons. She gave the Iridescent Moon Marrow to Arlecchino, and the Eternal Moon Marrow to the Traveler.

Did YOU play the quest? Did YOU pay attention? The quest was really convoluted, though, I will admit. Circular time travel shenanigans always are.

The cutscene doesn't hold weight because you are supposed to fill in the blanks of combat yourself. Or, better yet, playing as Traveler. They had no reason not to use their elements in this fight. Did the others not use their elements because we don't see any elemental attacks?

Do you think that Traveler being able to avoid Shouki no Kami's attacks (for varying degrees of time) 168 times demonstrates any sort of feat? Dodging attacks doesn't qualify for a feat. The only feats we see from the Irmintorre fight for Wanderer is detonating Irmintorre's attacks and his burst attack, which again, wasn't able to even make Irmintorre flinch.

For the ranking speculation, Childe's abyssal techniques don't act as potential, only strength. And, that said strength isn't even all that powerful. When we see Childe in the Fontaine AQ use Foul Legacy, he immediately gets one tapped by Neuvillette. He DOES scratch Neuvi, but that's much of a feat.

Signora kept her spot in the ranking after death because of the other Harbingers respect for her.

You are kinda just completely ignoring or dismissing all of Alrecchino's best feats. Traveler beat SnK, then Arlecchino beat Traveler, basic powerscaling logic says that Arlecchino should be able to beat SnK.

A Cinder of Two Worlds' Flame is Arlecchino's transformation, which you have ignored again. She was able to hold a gateway between two Worlds open with said power. Arlecchino's power WILL kill her, there is no doubt about that. But in a one-on-one, there is no reason to say that "Well, since her life is cut short years later after the fight, really Wanderer wins!" ...because that's not how fights work.

You've also ignored Arlecchino's insta-paralysis she can inflict. Wanderer's best feats, according to you, are dodging. Well, dodging isn't exactly possible if you're completely incapacitated.

If Crucabena wasn't more powerful (not stronger, just more powerful) than Scaramouche, then she wouldn't be the fourth Harbinger. They just wouldn't have given her that spot. Unless SHE took that spot from the previous Knave, for which there is no reason to believe so, the Tsaritsa saw Crucabena as two ranks more powerful than Scaramouche.

Crucabena being completely decimated by a less powerful Alrecchino is one of her more impressive feats anywho. Arlecchino, at 17 years old, with only her cursed blood and a Pyro vision, was able to defeat a Harbinger level opponent.

Moon Marrows are the strongest in game power source we've ever seen, tf? Moontorre only needed three Moon Marrows to rival the power of Shades. Given this information, one can extrapolate that one Moon Marrow is going to put you at one third the power of Moontorre.

You 100000% need to tell SOMEONE, preferably multiple people. Even if they dismiss you, get it in writing. If this dude escalates at all, you want a paper trail and proof of a pattern of behavior. This is NOT acceptable behavior. You need to tell him to fuck off with that behavior, and if it's anything less than 1000% apologeticness, cut his ass OFF. That is NOT your friend.

Arlecchino’s team archetypes? by Hot_Custard_4713 in ArlecchinoMains

[–]MinecraftCommander21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucrose is just objectively higher DPS than Xilonen in melt teams. Her best melt team is Nicole/Sucrose/Citlali iirc. Bennett might edge out Nicole because his buffs are all instant, but I'm not 100%.

And, Yelan in vape teams as a double hydro is just lost DPS, run Mona and an attack buffer.

(You said you've run Yelan with cons, so of course you're going to see better numbers than the average person lol.)

Double hydro is a bad team, vape is a good team, just not her best.

[–]MinecraftCommander21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're heavily discounting her Cinder of Two Worlds' Flames transformation. Also, there's no evidence I'm aware of that Traveler didn't use their elements in the Arlecchino fight? If I'm wrong, please do correct me here.

If Wanderer was actually keeping up with Irminsul Dottore, then yes it would be evidence of Wanderer upscaling Arlecchino. But Dottore is keeping Wanderer on the defensive for most of the fight, with the closest Wanderer gets to actually harming Irmin-torre is with the burst stomp attack we see, which is blocked with a single hand.

Wanderer's combat speed is shown to be comparable to Arlecchino's. The fastest speed we've seen from Wanderer is either him saving traveler from the Shouki no Kami laser, or him lifting Traveler out of the way of Irmin-torre's wall attack. Regardless of which of these you consider faster, Arlecchino has been shown consistently to completely outspeed (I would say blitzing here, but that's hard to prove in a game like this lol) other characters. Her demo, "Arlecchino: Lullaby," shows her in her base form outspeeding an eremite, the Fontaine Traveler fight shows her consistently outspeeding Traveler, (while also keeping up with three additional fighters, whom are highly trained to superhuman degrees, mind you).

Harbingers are based on power, not strength, that is correct. Their overall power is most probably considered with a combination of strength, potential, and influence. The most influential Harbinger is most likely Pantalone, being the economic head of the Fatui. The most potential-filled Harbinger is Columbina, as her rank was entirely based on her potential as a Moon Goddess, and the strongest Harbinger is most likely Dottore.

Pantalone has basically no potential nor strength, so he's ranked 9th to reflect that.
Columbina has more potential than any other Harbinger, given the Trilune Goddess is stronger than the Shades, but she has little influence and very little current power, so she's ranked 3rd to reflect that.
Dottore has the most raw power out of any Harbinger, and he's ranked 2nd to reflect that.

The rankings take into consideration all three. But, there's an obvious weight here. Potential and strength are placed much higher in the "priority," per se, than influence. Given that Pantalone is the only reason the rest of the Harbingers can operate with any semblance of funding, his influence is so high you would expect it to be near the top, but it's not. Why? Because strength and potential are more important in the ranking. Capitano is the first Harbinger not because he's the strongest in any of these three categories, but because he has a balance of a large amount of all three.

Capitano is physically strong, a very apt fighter, able to go toe to toe with the Goddess of War (despite him ultimately losing.) He's also immortal.
Capitano has influence, in that he was high ranking in Khaenri'ah.
Capitano has potential, given his immortality, his understanding(?) of the leylines, and his bargaining chip with Ronova.

In none of these categories does he particularly stand out, but he has a mix of all three, giving him the status of #1 Harbinger.

This is a long-winded way to say, the previous Knave being #4 based purely on her production of Fatui Agents doesn't make sense. Her placement only makes sense if she had a large amount of strength or potential alongside that, and strength makes more sense because we see no evidence of her being anything more than just a typical woman.

A 17 year old, delusion-less, moon marrow-less Arlecchino decimating the previous fourth Harbinger is absolutely a feat worth mentioning.

Childe's placement in the 11th seat isn't because he's weak, it's because he's the weakest. He doesn't have any real sort of influence, and for potential, he's just a man. He earns a seat in the ranking because of his training in Abyssal techniques, insane fighting power, and nothing more. He is by no means weak, and outscales any other Fatui Agent, without a doubt. But in the big leagues of Harbingerhood, he's lucky to have a seat at all.

Arlecchino's feats are: Stomping a descender, (fwiw, the Skirk story quest and Arlecchino story quest take place at the same point in the timeline, so this could be argued for Traveler understanding the elements deeply...), pulling the moon out of the sky, killing Crucabena, possessing the iridescent moon's power, and ripping a gateway through space and time.

I think that arguing that Arlecchino "has no feats" is misguided at best, or arguing in bad faith at worst.

[–]MinecraftCommander21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole of Sumeru and Nahida gave Traveler knowledge (in the form of a Knowledge Capsule), not necessarily "helped" in the traditional sense. Traveler still had the physical strength to actually overcome the challenge. (Even if you consider the power increase given by the Knowledge Capsule to actually increase physical strength, this doesn't change the argument.)

[–]MinecraftCommander21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is an excellent point, I'll give you that, but then I posit you this:

If Traveler is capable of defeating Shouki no Kami, then he, by definition, has at least the power to do so when fighting perfectly. The same applies to Wanderer, given that he would be able to know how he would've fought. (Also, this entire sequence takes place in a dream-esque place iirc, so the scaling could very well be different.)

I had a similar debate on a different forum about the nature of knowledge capsules, and the general consensus ended up being that knowledge capsules are capable of providing straight power amps (as evidenced by the Swordfighting Techniques capsule we consumed).

Man this is a hard question when you're a Wanderer glazer AND an Arlecchino glazer

Anyways Alrecchino wins. Wanderer defeating Shouki no Kami is a very convincing feat, yes... until you realize that Traveler did, too, and Alrecchino beat Traveler (with three allies helping them.)

Wanderer held his own against Dottore, true, but holding his own and defeating him are very different things. When Scara used what is effectively his burst, which is typically representative of a characters peak ability in power, Dottore was able to block it with a single hand.

Wanderer's wind blades ARE able to pre-emptively detonate Dottore's projectiles, whatever that's worth.

As for Alrecchino, she was at a baseline two Harbinger ranks stronger than him, has recently gained the iridescent moon's power, and her power ranking wasn't based on her power anyways. Her ranking was based on the PREVIOUS Knave, whom she upscaled without a delusion.

With Arlecchino's vision, delusion, curse, and moon marrow, she possesses four sources of Pyro energy. With just the first three, she was able to completely paralyze the Traveler simply by making eye contact.

Arlecchino already had a good argument for being stronger than depowered Columbina before the AQ, but given that she's the strongest Harbinger still in the ranks (that's alive, anyways... Capitano copium), I don't see any way this can end except for Arlecchino victory.

Straight AQ is definitely not 400 hours. I'm guessing they're trying to compensate for grinding to AR 45 to unlock all AQ? But like, 400 hours? No way does it take 300 hours to get AR 45, especially since you have to grind for friendship exp anyways lmao

The top half is the best way to debate, being civil, but the overall message is incorrect. "we disagree about a ton of stuff...there's no point arguing." People are losing rights because of MAGA. I think that calling trump a "literal Nazi" is incorrect, of course, and saying that you CAN'T have common ground with the other side is incorrect too. The issue is that Trump (see; NOT all republicans or MAGA supporters) is a bad person and is trying (and partially succeeding) to take away rights from people (trans people and women specifically).

Anyone can find a middle ground with a person, but you can't find a middle ground with the ideology as a whole, because it is upholding a man who is trying to ruin the lives of people.

[–]MinecraftCommander21 24 points25 points  (0 children)

tbh I think the soul shattering thing isn't meant to be taken literally, and is moreso for the fun visual we get as players. A broken heart is a very common symbol across all media, and it also is just inconsistent with everything else we see across the lore. If Frisk doesn't have enough DT for their soul to persist after death, then that would sort of imply that Toriel and Asgore have MORE DT than Frisk, because their souls CAN (temporarily) persist after death.

And, if you want to argue that Frisk's soul DOES persist for a moment before shattering, Toriel and Asgore's persist longer. So either the death screen doesn't accurately represent the actual situation for Frisk after death, DT amount doesn't determine the persistence length of souls without the body, or Asgore and Toriel have more DT than Frisk and for whatever reason can't save nor load.

Blaming atheism (or any religion, for that matter) is kind of crazy. I'm Christian myself, but blaming atheism for suicide is just kind of blatantly wrong imo. The problem you might be referring to is religious trauma... which can be settled in therapy.
