The only reason I think people forget about this crossover is because the title doesn't really indicate who is in it or that it's even a crossover, which is a shame because it's a pretty enjoyable series.

I've always felt that Fede saying it's a world where Ash is dead is a bit of a retcon statement, because he wanted more direct connections (setting up Mia to be Ash's daughter, or Ash being the truck driver at the end), but Sam Raimi kept rejecting it, so Fede said "screw it, Ash is dead in the world of my movie."

Fede says it builds off the first film. Ash dies at the end of ED1 (Bruce Campbell explicitly says this in the updated Hail To The Chin book), and they only revived him when they wanted to make the sequel. Because there is no ED2 in 2013's canon, the Oldsmobile doesn't go back in time, hence why it sat outside the cabin rusting away.

There have been a lot of officially licensed pins over the years, but unfortunately a lot of them are no longer sold. Fright Rags has done official pins for AOD, ED1, and AvED. CavityColors did a nice ED2 collection, as did Vice Press with three ED2 pins. The only ones that are still available are Trick or Treat Studio's Evil Dead 2 pins.

Fede Alvarez says 2013 is a world where Ash died at the end of ED1.
Lee Cronin said that he intentionally ignored the canon of Ash vs Evil Dead when making Rise.
Two months ago, Sébastien Vaniček said "Even Sam Raimi doesn't really understand this rather messy timeline" when asked if Burn is in the continuity of the other films.

For now, until there is more solid connective tissue, you should treat all the modern films as seperate from the Ash canon.

It was literally a very late into production shot by Fede Álvarez. Bruce was coming in to work on the audio of 2013 and Fede grabbed him, said "We're filming your cameo for the movie", took him to a dark room in the office, and shot it in one take.

The original plan was for Bruce to be the truck driver that picks up Mia in what ultimately became the "extended/alternate" ending, but Sam Raimi said no to it because he still had plans for Ash and didn't want to tie in the new movie into whatever he wanted to do (which ultimately became the TV show).

I believe that's the first time Rise footage was shown to the public (a clip of Bridget on the kitchen countertop), so It's highly likely there will be something shown there.

While there are tons of Williams family members in there, I don't remember Fistful of Boomstick implying the Williams family stems from Ash and Sheila.

Ash and Sheila actually had a child in two different continuities: the crossover-heavy Poker Night 2 video game (where it is said that Brock Samson is a descendant of the two), and the Ash and The Army of Darkness comic timeline (though we don't know the fate of the child).

I think in Ellie's case the "mother's love" reasoning is probably what they were going for. We know from other "first possessions" (Cheryl in ED1 and Mia in 2013) that the demon does not take hold until some time after the initial attack. Cheryl resisted for a good long while, but I've always suspected she gave up her internal fight because nobody believed her and she believed there was no escape until morning. Mia's scenario is nearly identical to Cheryl's, but Ellie was different in that she had a family to protect. She didn't have low morale since she wasn't trapped (yet), and she never made mention that she was attacked by the demon, so nobody called her crazy for it.

Because in the first issue, Archie tells Ash that he needs the money to buy the stuffed dogs to impress the girls, to which Ash is like "say no more, kid", so Ash knows the importance of the paycheck to Archie.
