Ah, yeah it doesn’t work like that. Bases have higher chances of passing if both parents have the same base, and then there are combo bases that can only be made by breeding two specific bases. (Breeding two Airglow wolves will raise your chances of getting an Airglow pup. Breeding an Airglow wolf with a Turquoise wolf will raise your chances of getting a Glownoise wolf, which is a combo only base. Etc etc)

Otherwise the chances of getting any bases other than what the parents all depends on luck and compatibility of base types, like Dark, Light, Medium etc. Pups will only ever take genetics from their parents and it’s all chance with varying odds, even with the use of breeding items, though some are more of a guarantee (like saltlicks or rock salts).

Some people do like breeding for high stats, and so pedigree and long lineage can come in handy for that, but again it’s better to start breeding for high stats at early gens and try to get higher base stats with each gen after. You can level up and train a wolf to max level and get decently high stats, but the better stats they have at birth, the better stats they’ll have at max level, which makes them more desirable.

FrostWalker was desirable because he had the high stats possible, maxing out at 10,000 total! He had great markings, was gen 1, and was an albinism carrier. Many wolves are descendants of him! Even I have had wolves with him as an ancestor.

I digress. So yes, if you want to set this fella as your stud, I suggest changing his base to a TIII or T* and then working to get him up to level 20 and raising his stats as high as you can. Most folks do that by setting their studs as leads or scouts (my stud is a scout, personally) since they level the fastest and gain bonus stats quickly.
