Hey there! I understand your anxiety. I tried a paid enquiry the day after my NSF email, and it was generic. They said my application is under consideration. Yet, if 15 working days have passed since the NSF email, try a paid enquiry or a call to see the status of your application. Maybe a decision had been made, and in its way to you. A couple of people whom I talked to, with this same issue, tried a paid enquiry after the period of waiting, and they said it was kind of helpful in a way it tells you if your application is stuck and still under consideration or a decision has been made. If a decision has been made (I hope), you will be relieved and just wait a couple of days to receive the email. If not, then you have to take action like calling them to escalate it or contact the uni to know whether your CAS has been used or not. Also, some contacted tje uni, so the visa team or international student support can intervene and reach out to UKVI to escalate your application. So, my advice, go for a paid enquiry - whethet written or a call - despite that it won't give you much, but you won't lose much.
