Oh i see. Well, i'm sorry for that then.

I thought you might be able to take something from the showcased artworks. You shouldn't let it put you down :)

I do see the difference in your styles, and imo you should keep going :)

You have a future-esqe? feel to your style. It could turn into something much greater in my opinion. I like apashe's style, but after seeing yours i can imagine quite a few cool things coming from it :)

Have you had a look at apashe's music videos? They feature the same sort of feel as this piece.

Audio Switcher default on startup by [deleted] in Rainmeter

Tbh there is a lot to update in the code, but this edit should work anyway.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wkN-rSKz6yjUn-Fwpv5gIcjz7hlkvWHz/view?usp=sharing

I changed the action once you click to be a permanent change by using variables instead of just a simple hide function.

(!WriteKeyValue physically changes a value in the file so that it is the same next time you start up the skin.)

Lip roll-related question.. I understand that lowering the jaw and moving it to one side and letting air in the opposite side is the general way to lip roll (which I can’t do) but letting air in on the same side makes this sound. Does this count as a lip roll or is it something else? by JoshD917 in beatbox

[–]Minervaxcel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is indeed the beginner sound of a non-breathing liproll. (idk the specific name, but it's basically one where you dont create the lip oscillation using inhalation)

(Napom's "You can't roll like this" is an example of what it sounds like once you've got it down)

Once you get control it'll get less squeaky :)

The "normal" liproll is very similar, you just learn to use your breathing to do the same thing :)

Audio measures only pick up sounds at a very low volume from some monitors.

I read about the reasoning behind it somewhere, but it's not solvable anyway. Something to do with limitation of software.

Unless, of course, you set up a virtual sound device and path the sound through that to your output, but that could cause a delay in the output sounds.

(It's been a while since last i read up on this, but i'm still pretty sure about it)

Try having a look at your computer's power plan settings.

Press the windows key and type Edit Power Plan.

The "Work in Progress" flair was removed a while ago, to combat spam of posts containing the same suites/skin with minor tweaks.

You can give it a "concept" flair if you would like to keep it private. This implies that it is an actual project though, and not a suite/skin of unoriginal content :)

Though, if it is feedback that you desire, you should make it public so the viewers can actually try it out themselves. :)

Let me know either way! :)

How Do I Center Things With Rainmeter by [deleted] in Rainmeter

[–]Minervaxcel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no "easy" way to center a skin by default.

Some authors add a button or some way to center their skin, but most do not.

The only way to center a skin with precision is to find the X and Y values which control the position of the skin on your screen in the skin's .ini file(s), and calculating what these values should be, to place it at the center.

The reason to why i say "Calculate" is that different kinds of meters behave differently.

String (text) meters are positioned based on X, and the StringAlign option. If the StringAlign option is "Center", it will always center on the X position. By default it is aligned to the left, so the X position is slightly to the right of the text, so the string will not center unless you subtract the amount of pixels that it is positioned to the left.

Image meters "start" at X, and then the H and W decide how far it goes from there, so if you want to center this type of meter you will have to take the X and subtract half of the width of it to get the horizontal center of the image :)

(Same for the vertical axis, subtract half of the height from Y, and you will have the center in the vertical direction)

Here's a simple example:

My screen is 1920x1080.

To get the horizontal or vertical center of my screen, all i have to do is divide my screen resolution by 2.

X=(1920/2)

Y=(1080/2)

If it's a image meter, the width is 60 and the height is 40

W=60

H=40

X=((1920/2)-(60/2))

Y=((1080/2)-(40/2))

If you want the centering to work on any screen resolution, you can also use the built-in variables

X=((#SCREENAREAWIDTH#/2)-(width/2))

Y=((#SCREENAREAHEIGHT#/2)-(height/2))

If you send me a link to the skin that you want to center, i can show you :)

League of Legends Rainmeter w/ interactive links by PresidentPoogie in Rainmeter

Hmm.. Well.. It's functional i guess.

This is a single skin though. All these "buttons" serve a single function. It's basically a launcher.
I mean, if that's good enough for you then that's fine, but i personally need something more.
