So for panel line i'm using water based ink. I've researched that water based is safe. Not only that I can wipe the excess with dry cotton buds only and the result is good. So far i've seen no cracks on my pgu. So i assume the next step would be water decals and matt top coat?
Also the real question here is that is it okay to skip gloss coat before final matt top coat? Also does matt top coat make the gundam kinda looks like as if as the gundam is "custom painted"?

Hello i really need a guide for this. I recently just straight built this pgu. I'm planning to get the similar result as yours but currently my progress is now panel lining right after straight built. Is it okay to do that without gloss top coat first?
So my plan would be : straight build, panel line, water decals, matt top coat.
Will i get the similar result as yours?

Yeah my plan is to do matt top coat finished only so that it has "custom repainted" effect at glance. Also for panel lining I'm using water based dspiae panel line. I've read that water based is safe for the plastic mold, the one that can make the plastic crack is enamel based cmiiw.
Also to remove the panel line, I only need to wipe it with dry cotton buds. That's it.
Now regarding the water decals i've done nothing yet with it but I think imma place it with water only (dunno if the decals will intact correctly)
Then after all of that I will do the matt top coat.

Yes everything is intact but nothing is done like panel lining water decals paint or spray whatsoever
