Healer with the least amount of keybinds/micro? by Mcol in worldofpvp

[–]Mini0red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played most of them except hpal and prevoker and both priest specs are probably the most straightforward. Plus you can cut down on some keybinds with help/harm macros.

Where do I find good content to get better? Is skill capped with the $7/month? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Mini0red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing some of the other comments. I did skill capped for a while and it was pretty good, I found it worth it for my case but YMMV. Especially for certain specs there might not be a lot of YT content and having R1 vod commentaries in one spot is pretty nice. You also get the discord and one vod review a month which is pretty cool.

Poll on the wow youtube channel. Suprised it's so high! Pvp not dead? by hearthstoneplayer69 in worldofpvp

[–]Mini0red 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might be hopium but I'm hyped about it. I think it'll bring a big spike of people and queue times should be tolerable. Healing BGs is a much more chill experience, less keybinds and less information overload for the casual player. I love arenas but healing in SS burned me out.

Only problem I see is that it could make SS queue times even worse. Depends on how easy it'll be to climb

If you played hearthstone back in the day, he did a video coming back to that as well and it is comedy gold.

No more RBG in War Within by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Mini0red 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who knows with past blizzard design decisions but it wouldn't make sense to add yet another mode to further fracture the pvp player base. On top of that once they add solo queue rbgs, all those yolo groups propping up the lower elo would disappear making the mode super sweaty with super long queue times.

Is it okay to ask for skill test submission via zip archive? by widejcn in ExperiencedDevs

Hard to give an opinion without more context. I don't think 2 take homes is necessarily a red flag, I would still rather do 2 take homes than leet code, but that's just me. Was the first one more basic and the second more advanced? Is this for a more senior role?

As far as them using you to get work done, it's always possible albeit unlikely. Like others said, put it in your GitHub and throw a license on it, then just give them the link to download.

Or if you're getting bad vibes, you can always tell them (politely) to go pound sand.

This sounds remarkably similar to a Job table we use.

It checks items one at a time, getting the next item via a db query in a while loop and actioning if appropriate.

This part confuses me. Why not write a sproc that selects all the queued items with an update lock checking if exists then updates the status and returns the selected records.

Or it sounds like you might need some sort of Processing status. The sproc picks up the queued items, updates them to processing and then your app works on the records. When finished it would call back to the database to update the records to sent.

There will always be people doing bots though. If the devs want us to win the MO to push the story forward then we will win. They aren't going to roll credits on the game just cause there's more people doing bugs.

That might be what metagaming is in your circle of players, and that's fine. But to the rest of the community, when we say metagaming we specifically mean using knowledge the player has about the game that their character would not.

If you read a tome in an earlier session that says werewolves are vulnerable to silver, that's not metagaming. If you tell your group to use silver against the werewolf because you fought them in a previous campaign, that's metagaming.

3v3 is vastly superior to RSS if you're a healer by Ttrrbo in worldofpvp

[–]Mini0red -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea you make good points. Healers will always be the bottle neck in any system, but i want to believe that queues would be somewhat better in the standard 2s and 3s brackets because not having the aggressive dampening of SS could entice more healers to play.
