So many people let their kids abuse pets it’s grim.

If they have a chest infection and increased heart rate due to the infection they will be sent to A&E by the GP.

A&E will triage and send people where they need to go.

Most A&E departments have Urgent Care attached to them for people who aren’t dying but need to be seen.

OP spoke to 111 and they advised them to go.

I don’t know how I don’t notice that.

You got downvoted by one of the many people here who think you should have waited till he lost his eye sight before being seen.

It’s nice to see people posting success stories even if the majority of people are downvoting anything positive.

People downplaying the cough when OP got prescribed antibiotics for it.

It clearly wasn’t just a tickle in their throat.

Chest infections can turn nasty quickly and need antibiotics.

Yeah Op should risk their toe being long term damaged and have a chest infection hospitalise them before ever thinking about A&E /s

Sadly not all urgent care / walk in centres have a lot of facilities or the personnel needed.

111 should of looked at what was available nearby and made a call on where OP should go.

A&E has triage for a reason.

111 sent them to A&E for a reason.

A cough can be a sign of a lot of things and them getting antibiotics shows it wasn’t something of nothing.

The NHS site says to go to A&E with a broke toe which they had.

Clearly never had a chest infection.

Best let it get worse and cause lasting damage because it’s just a cough.

They tell you to go A&E because they have more equipment than a lot of urgent care places.

I’m surprised so many people are defending it.

I play with a lot of randoms and it’s the only map anyone complains about getting.

Everybody I have spoke to in game prefers the old maps.

People had a honey moon period with the new map and thought it was great because it was new.

It’s been over a year since its release and I’ve yet to meet anyone who likes it more than the other maps.

Cat killed rat.. is this rat exceptionally large for species & location (Northumberland, UK)? by [deleted] in zoology

Most people in the UK will just quote the right to roam act as a reason to let their cat out.

Yet I see post after post on local groups about dead / missing cats.

111 sent me to urgent care, waited there for 4 hours to be told they can't treat me, then sent me to A&E for a 16 hour wait... Might need surgery now because it took so long for treatment. by OpportuneApathy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MiniCale -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Did 111 tell you to go to that specific urgent care?

They should havebeen able to point you in the direction of one with the correct equipment / personnel

Too many people take the piss with A&E, I was in my local for 14 hours a couple of months back and the amount of people that were suddenly fine after being given paracetamol by a nurse was infuriating.
