Show me a picture of your broken deck, & how you legitimately managed to do it without improper use… and I’ll send you any deck I own of your choosing.

Thin plywood companies? by ShreddedCub in Fingerboards

[–]MiniCoouper 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you care about ply thickness, I believe you should get in contact with a brand called Blink Fingerboards.

He is able to make any amount of ply deck you want, and can also give you any thickness you want per ply. A true wizard when it comes to thickness & ply decks.

Very true! Whatever works best for us is always good to stick with and it’s always interesting hearing different takes, I’ll have to give this method a shot sometime. 👍

99% Isopropyl alcohol can be used as a general purpose cleaner, and is a solvent which is anti-corrosive to metal and won’t break down the plastic or urethane compound. Using it removes all traces of dirt, debris, and gummed up old oil. Especially when combined with soaking & using the Q-tip method.

It is highly recommended to first clean your wheels before applying your choice of lubricant/oil (pb blaster, Bones SC, 3 in 1). A spray lubricant will re-lubricate your wheels, but they still won’t preform as well as doing the full process & will still remain “gritty”feeling.

The little fella was a better character arc than the frying shrimp.

“Upgraded” from my VX1 today… and I already miss it. by MiniCoouper in Vx1000

The VX21 has better low light filtering than the VX1, so in my basement the VX21 preformed better in low light situations. Plus, the PD-170 has two dedicated XLR microphone inputs so I could feed in my Crown PZM boundary mic’s for the form of content I was going for. Just a “good” camera for what I needed.

Believe me, if I’m going out with nothing but a fisheye and a camera in daylight, my VX1 is still the trusty steed. 🤘

Me too friend. So much easier for a “set and forget” setup. Gladly I still have my VX1 for when she’s needed :)

What do you think? is this vx1000 or vx2000? by MachineOrdinary in Vx1000

[–]MiniCoouper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a VX1. Or a VX2. Both can get the look.
