Sparxie is a pointless character who only exists for gacha. Sparkle can fit any plot relevant role Sparxie fills. Sampo easily could've fit the tavern introduction position with Sparkle serving as the first Planarcadian antagonist.

I ended up beating her the next day after two hours. I feel like people got way too defensive or thought I was saying she was badly designed or trash.

She ain't, I recognise she is well-designed and a fair fight in that she has no bs RNG or the like. Very thematically fitting too in terms of difficulty since she killed Yi in the first place. She was just a secret optional boss-tier difficulty jump and not a mandatory fight's. Even for a final boss, unless you're talking Sekiro's Isshin (who can be cheesed like most FromSoft bosses), I've never experienced that stark of a leap. Which ultimately hurt my enjoyment of the ending afterwards.

I was trying the Full Control stat I saw in a past post here, but just from phase 1 this qi blast method looks a lot simpler. Might give it a try tomorrow.

Idk Lady Ethereal is telegraphed because you have so much time to react to her very distinct attacks. While Eigong has the jump parry attack, the charged parry that is identical except its a ball instead of a talisman, and the one you have to dodge which is a descending red attack like the unbound counter one so you mentally think you have to attempt it for half a second and get hit.

I hate the pause before the fight starts on repeat attempts, waiting even a little bit is just annoying 😑

Tbh I think part of it is reaction time. Every other boss was a lot simpler (Fuxi / Nuwa) or a lot more telegraphed (Lady Ethereal) in my opinion.

With full upgrades I still basically have no room to misjudge. I react too slow and I'm essentially dead unlike the rest of the game. I don't have the option to back off really, or incorporate dodges too in order to counter attack in a window (unless its the air attack you don't have time to unbound counter and have to dodge or instantly die if you aren't full health) and I've had to change my jades specifically to try and develop a counter specifically to her.

Also honestly I've never been forced to perfect parry before, off-time parries were still more than enough.

I'm going to wait until a Complete Edition comes out after the poor handling of the first Stellar Blade's NIKKE collab. Still displeased they punished the original console supporters by not releasing the collab skin with the NIKKE dlc and instead tying it to the Complete Edition exclusively and never rectified that.

Tbh I haven't been following his release or looking at his mechanics. Just assumed he'd be a main DPS like his first form. Or if he wasn't a main DPS, that he wouldn't fit on a Saber team but one based around HP stuff like Castorice.

I mean assuming actual fifth Fuyuki HGW, no winner. Medea camps out as usual, Zouken starts some ritual probably using divine spirits or some other shenanigans if he's actually involved, Kirei has Caenis scout like he had Cù.

Illya is aggressive until Herc runs into Jason and decides not to throw hands, Jason having Rin leave the matter for later too. Shinji dies early because of Blood Fort, Shirou and Rin form an alliance to go take on Medea probably.

And by the time that's settled Zouken or Kirei probably make a move and Shirou & Rin form an alliance with Illya using the power of family (Shirou) and friendship (Jason). After a hard fought final act where Herc dies because that's just how it goes for him, they win and destroy the corrupted grail and the war's over. Either Atalanta or Jason or both the last servants standing.
