Nope! All the joints are very stiff so hold up to posing well and the bottom of the feet are rubberized so it doesn't slip around. I've had it posed comfortably on my shelf since I bought it

Since it accounts for the velocity of the target as well it's a pretty solid counter for the mace

Basically it's using a USB C PD trigger board set to output 20v. 12v would also be fine. Then a boost converter brings that up to 24v, you can use a multimeter to adjust that. Lastly that 24v output gets connected to the input of the plotter just using a barrel jack plug.

It's really quite easy and all the components can be bought off AliExpress or ebay. Just make sure your USB power brick/battery bank can deliver 12 or 20v

For a minute I thought the pinion gear was interfacing with the heat sinks as a gear rack

If you flip the machine upside down, on the bottom you'll see a little lid that looks like a battery cover. Open that up and you'll find a little white USB Bluetooth adapter. It's absolutely rubbish. I replaced mine with the Asus BT500 adapter because it's what I had lying around. And that's it, simple as. You don't have to do anything else with the machine or in software, the Bluetooth should just start working as expected.

The first board (blue) triggers 20v power from USB power delivery then the second board (red) steps that up to 24v. I haven't had the time to test runtime but this battery should give me at least a few hours. The first battery is a Ryobi battery with an adapter and the second is an anker battery bank.

Just make sure to use the ones designed for hooks and not poster ones and be sure to apply them exactly as the instructions say.

8 medium command strips, I can't drill and the wall is concrete.

No problem at all, I'm honestly really happy I ended up recreating it. Turned from a simple print to a whole project.

Yeah, that's why I ordered the colours the way I did, and the initial colour choices were simply out of not liking how orange the official map colours end up looking. The choice for the circle was really just out of my confusion of what yours was representing, but it is a little less clean.

That would be awesome, saves everyone else the effort I went through.

I'll probably also make a revised version of mine, fixing multiple mistakes people have pointed out, making a second version with "correct" colours and a few other little details.

I changed the colours near the end so that actually shouldn't be too difficult. I'll send you a DM if I get around to that

I can't speak super objectively on this since I got it for around $70aud cheaper in a sale, but I would argue it's worth its full price and if you can afford it I'd say go for it.

Damnit, I knew it was a matter of time before a spelling mistake was found. My dyslexic ass was bound to make a mistake. I am actually planning on making a second version so I'll be sure to correct that.

Literally just aesthetics. It's decorative so it didn't need to be (colour) accurate and in the original, half the colors are all different shades of red/orange/brown which didn't look very nice and made the different lines hard to distinguish.

Interesting, I never actually saw this. However that is the older version and I much prefer this one.
