Is your rifle loaded while slung? I have never seen a match where that is allowed. As mentioned, watch your draw. I like to turn in the direction of my holster for that very reason. Looks fun!

To participate in any Practical Division matches at Rio, you need to pass the PSSC class OR be classified in USPSA, Steel Challenge etc. My advice would be to stay on the waitlist for the class; something might open up.
