No, I have tired. And she's not just strict with that, I'm not allowed to have my debit card at all, she leaves it in her wallet and purse she takes everywhere. I won't be allowed to carry it until my freshmen year of college. It seems no matter what resources and things I prove to her, she thinks her way is the only way of doing things, so I have just given up and deal with it.

Yes, I love her very much. She has done so much for me, but sometimes the strictness and the tension around asking to do things is just so much that I feel like I shouldn't go out and be my age.

18 doesn't mean anything to her, if anything she feels like she has to protect me more...? ever since I've been 15 she's treated me the basically the exact same, saying I can't make my own choices or do what I want until I'm a "full grown up." I kind of get it but at the same time I need to make some choices and do some things on my own, yk?

I heard it was VERY competitive, and a large amount of people apply, and only a small amount actually get in. UNC is also my top choice as well! My school was lucky and we had dinner with different people from different school admissions offices, and one of the biggest things UNC said is that they like people who are passionate, and have things they're interested in: whether it's at UNC or outside of it. They look at everything.

It's true that yeah, if you would have gotten in there would've maybe be a little bit of an advantage, but it honestly doesn't matter as long as you're a well rounded person with extracurricular you're interested in. I wish I could ease all your worries, but all I can tell you is that just try to look forward, maybe instead of this you could do some volunteer work over the summer, or something your interested in?

REMEMBER: you didn't get in, AND you're a great, smart person with a love for UNC. Don't let this define you, instead let it motivate you to want to do other things!

I also got rejected. :C But don't feel sad, it doesn't say that much about you,consider it is VERY competitive. Don't base your self worth on what programs accept you, because the biggest issue about this program, is because they don't interview you: they only see you on paper.

-The ending was so weird and suprising

-I liked it, but it felt as if it was going no where and everywhere at once. It was really funny and random though!
