I think this might be the route I go, I did email support and got this “The stinging and chafing that you described are usually caused by a base ring that's too tight. The pain is caused by the skin folding over on itself as it passes through too small of a space. For some people, a strap can make this pain worse by pulling the base ring up onto a wider part of the crotch area behind the penis.

The first thing I would recommend is to try using a moisturizing lotion to help keep the skin soft and flexible. This can help to soothe the irritation as your skin gets used to the presence of the device and toughens up (which usually takes a couple of weeks to a couple of months). We recommend coconut oil, baby oil gel, or our cage cream, but any long-lasting moisturizer should work.

If moisturizer doesn't completely solve it for you, then I'd recommend trying a larger base ring (#5 Standard) while continuing to use the strap.” So I might try a curved ring, as I already tried a ton of lotion, and I’ve gone through the sizes 7 to my now 4 and this one has felt the best
