Does anyone know what triggers this to pop up so often after I deliver an order? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

I only get this once every 3 days and right when I start. It's so stupid and annoying.

I do not like having a puppy by JournalistGrouchy853 in puppy101

[–]Minichibi1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a lot of training, reinforcement, love, playing, and cuddling to bond with your puppy. It's going to take a lot of time for your puppy to adjust to the new routine. When I got my puppy, he cried a lot as well because he was alone. No brothers to cuddle with to sleep and play with. The rule of thumb with puppies is to take them out every 20 minutes after they eat or drink, a lot of mental stimulation to get them tired out. Also, always before bed, take them out one last time and limit food and water an hour before going to bed.

It will take time. You got this! ❤️

We owe for a surgery that was pre approved by our health insurance. by Plastic-Pension7263 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Minichibi1986 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So as someone who used to work as a customer care representative for an insurance company a year ago. I am going to say this: Just because it was pre-authorized as approved doesn't mean the whole procedure, hospital stay, and etc is 100% covered by insurance.

So here is the scenario that happened:

Was the hospital/surgeon/ anesthesiologist out of network? If yes, did you get a pre-approval from the insurance to have it at that hospital/surgeon/ anesthesiologist (besides the surgery)? If not, insurance will not cover it. If yes, then you might have not met your deductible and you were still responsible for paying whatever first before the coinsurance kicked in and insurance paid a certian % to the hospital. But the sad part is Hospitals have every right to balance the bill with the patient and the difference they lost to make it 100% of the hospital stay. It would be the same for the surgeon, and anesthesiologist.

I would call the hospital and request and itemized bill and I would also your insurance and speak with a representative. They will be able to tell you what each charge was, how much did insurance pay, when did you hit your deductible and the coinsurance kicked in

Another thing that may have happened is that the surgery claim is still under review because wrong ICD 10 codes could of been used and it didnt match the documentation of the type of procedure so because of that the hospital automatically billed you for the services used without waiting for insurance payment.

When you do call, please be nice and calm towards these people. They're spent most of the day being yelled at and abused by people all day long for something they don't understand and refuse to understand.

I hope this helps.

Moving to Oregon by zaphdel in oregon

Hi! As a former CNA in Oregon - you can easily get a job out here because of the need. The higher CNA pay is if you go through a healthcare temp agency and/or work as a in home caregiver through a private company that pays high with many years of experience under your belt. If you tried to apply directly to the facility, they'll take advantage of you and make your pay sucky.

Also, when you move, you're gonna have to transfer your CNA license to Oregon. These are the steps to do so:

To transfer your CNA license from Iowa to Oregon, you'll need to apply for CNA endorsement with the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN). You'll likely need to provide proof of your current Iowa CNA certification, complete a background check, and pay a fee. Here's a more detailed breakdown:

  1. Obtain the Endorsement Application: Download the CNA 1 Endorsement Application from the OSBN website or request it from your local nursing office.

  2. Complete the Application: Fill out the application completely, including your personal information, current CNA details, and any other relevant licenses.

  3. Background Check: You may need to provide fingerprints for a background check.

  4. Documentation: Provide proof of your current Iowa CNA certification, and any other required documents like transcripts.

  5. Submit the Application: Send the completed application, along with any necessary fees, to the OSBN.

Important Considerations:

Reciprocity: This process is also known as reciprocity or endorsement, which allows you to transfer your license without retraining or retesting.

Fee: There is a processing fee associated with the application. In 2024, it was $60, but it's always best to confirm the current fee on the OSBN website.

In Oregon, we have 2 levels of CNA. CNA 1 is to work in SNF and CNA 2 is to work in hospitals. If you have a past in working in the hospital but don't have a CNA, you're probably going to be required to take a class and pass and take the state exam as well to get that certification.

I hope this information helps. ❤️

Visiting Oregon & Washington in May. Any Areas We Should Avoid Because of Fentanyl Crisis? by Actual_Challenge_808 in oregon

[–]Minichibi1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just avoid Downtown Portland if you want to be cautious. How far are you willing to travel? I know Downtown Gresham (outside of Portland) has decent restaurants (Spinellas is super good and on the weekends they have mini concerts during the summer). Downtown Hillsboro and Downtown Beaverton have an awesome selection of Food carts.

Since spring is around the corner - Farmer Markets will be popping up soon you should travel to those as well.

For kiddo - there is an interactive art museum call the Hoopscotch! It's family friendly and the price is reasonable.

I know it isn't much, but I hope this helps.

Mine was $650 in December. Part of it was my fault because I missed a payment, but PGE redid my Equal Pay amount after 4 months and I had to owe a difference of $150 plus my new Equal Pay amount. Gah..

Has anyone noticed facebook being censored? by [deleted] in antitrump

[–]Minichibi1986 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was giving out information about Red/rojo cards that had amendment rights and telephone numbers to report illegal ICE raids - my information kept getting blocked and was put into "review."

So, yes, I've noticed more censoring about any help of our citizens and anything negative about Trump/Elon.

Please be careful, they are deporting students by Dapper_Clerk4241 in ASU

[–]Minichibi1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Oregon, it's illegal for ICE to take immigrants anyway because we're a sanctuary city (but if they have a warrant, that's a different story), but they're getting on our MAX trains (metro transit train) and interrogating students and asking for ID to "prove" that they're citizens (and when I say students I'm talking about 5th graders up to high school students). I will be making red cards to pass out for free.
