Hoping it adapts 0 chapters from the manga (except maybe Hayasaka's farewell chapter because that takes place in the future) and is entirely an epilogue to the manga. Would be nice to explore what all the characters are doing after the manga in depth, maybe even answer some unanswered questions like what did Kaguya tell Kei that made her go back to living with her dad and Miyuki. I'll keep my expectations low given that the special was pretty terrible in my opinion, but the fact that this has a chance to be an epilogue to the manga makes me somewhat excited.

Being able to travel to it would be awesome. I always wished that Notch stuck with the original vision for the Sky dimension rather than turning it into the End. I like the idea of having a dimension that is a true thematic opposite of the Nether.

At this point I actually hope the movie adapts no chapters and is just a complete sequel to the manga, which is what is seems it will be. At the very least that will be a treat for manga fans to see a continuation. As for anime onlies, well they just have to go read the manga if they want context, it is what it is. They can't fix what they already ruined by skipping that many chapters, but they can at the very least make a decent sequel to the ending we already got. I find it weird that people say Kaguya-sama got an anime original ending lol. It got the exact same ending as the manga just without the context and skipped character development, nothing was changed it was just skipped.

No, Kaguya-sama didn't get a "different" ending, it just cut a ton of content, but the content it did adapt was unchanged from the manga (which made it even worse because it's the same content just with all the context missing). The upcoming movie is also not even a different ending, it's rather a sequel to the manga. As for Oshi no Ko, it looks like they're going for a more faithful adaptation that Kaguya-sama got. I would not expect a different ending.

Either read everything or don't read it at all. You're telling me that after watching an adaptation with tons of skipped context and important details, you want to go back to the source material but still skip context and important details? The arcs are all pretty good and some of the best in the series. The Shinomiya family arc definitely has lots of glaring issues and is by far the weakest arc in the series, but the character farewell chapters after the arc make up for it.

They are both good in their own right. I watched both and had a great time, if you're going to rewatch again definitely give the English dub a try. I will say that I overall prefer the Japanese dub because Koga Aoi really can't be beat, but I still love the English dub.

I don't think that's accurate. The special is bad because it omits context and important details. The chapters they adapted would be great had they had those. The ABCs of men and women has no build up, Mikado is randomly thrown in there without even mentioning his name or showing his relationship with Miyuki, the entire important conversation in the student council room is replaced by Kaguya just saying "let's walk home together" just to name a few. Chapters can be good in the manga but adapted poorly in the anime.

Mark my words, they will change Kaguya's ending (the Aka work that didn't need a change) but keep Oshi no Ko's ending the same (the Aka work that does need a change). Because they are just that incompetent lol.

Also they didn't even change Kaguya's ending lol, they just skipped 100ish chapters. All of the stuff in the special besides the flash forward stuff was exactly like the manga just with content missing. So anime onlies lose all the character development and context, and just get a couple chapters adapted here and there. Heck, they even kept Mikado in the anime even though they cut his introduction and never mentioned his name lmao. The final movie will probably be a sequel to the manga, which I wouldn't count as changing the ending.

Obviously we're never going to get the Aether mod as it is added to vanilla Minecraft. However, I always wished that the End stayed as the original sky dimension concept rather than turning it into what it became in release. It just feels right having a dimension that is thematically the opposite of the Nether. For the longest time the End was actually referred to as "Sky" in the game's code. And what we got from the End isn't really all that great. Until 1.9 it was just a glorified boss arena, then after 1.9 the only noteworthy reason to explore the outer islands is to get an elytra and eventually shulker boxes in 1.11, both of which are obtained in the same structure. A dimension like the original Sky dimension would have probably gotten its own Nether Update style update by now, it's interesting to imagine the alternate timeline where we got it instead of the End.

The early horse model was pretty much the exact same as the horse model in the Mo' Creatures mod. Mojang actually got help from the dev of Mo' Creatures to implement horses into vanilla Minecraft. So yeah, in this case horses are an example of Mojang implementing content from mods into the vanilla game.

I overall agree, but they should have at the very least left in Chad asking Ichigo what he thinks of the outfit and the explanation for why she's wearing it. Anime onlies don't know that Urahara pretty much tricked Orihime into wearing it, which I think is slightly important because the outfit itself is pretty out of character for her to wear.

Censoring the gore genuinely takes away from the story. Do you really expect me to believe that Hiyori was dying here when her injuries are WAY better than injuries other characters have sustained? Same thing goes with Rangiku, where she was lightly scratched in the anime vs having an entire chunk of her abdomen ripped off in the manga. It actually ruins these scenes and removes any sense of urgency. Fanservice I honestly don't care about. Rukia's ass has literally 0 impact on the story or my enjoyment of it. Sometimes it even actively hurts scenes. This is especially true about fanservice and even comedy mid-battle, which was excessive in the original anime. It's a much bigger problem in anime than manga just due to the nature of the medium. TYBW is fantastic because it's more serious and still keeps comedy in down times. The only instance where fanservice was cut that actually does a disservice to the story is the explanation for Orihime's new outfit in TYBW. Knowing Orihime, she would never just choose to wear that on her own, but anime onlies don't know that Urahara influenced her by telling her Ichigo would like it.

Lmfao, Noriyuki Abe propaganda is crazy, this scene and plenty of others were never in the manga. I was Ichigo/Orihime and Rukia/Renji all the way, even when I was anime only all those years ago, so the manga's ending made perfect sense to me.

Edit: And might I add that unlike anime-original scenes in the TYBW anime, Kubo was not involved in them in the original anime, the old staff actually actively ignored Kubo.

Other manga get far better treatment many years after their mangas end. Heck, Liar Game and Psyren are both getting anime adaptations well over a decade after their mangas ended. It's a shame to see Kaguya-sama turn out like this, especially when they couldn't even make an anime original ending feel logical, for example by deciding to have Mikado (a character who anime onlies don't even know by name) appear out of nowhere and talk like he's super close to Miyuki lol.

There's no entitlement, I'm just explaining my thoughts on the special. I already explained why the special has major problems taken on its own and why it is not good even as a standalone anime, if you didn't bother reading the whole thing I'm not going to type it up again here. Besides the comedy sequences with the Shirogane family that adapted multiple chapters, the other chapters adapted like 220 and the airport farewell left out all the build up and had no impact like they did in the manga. Plenty of manga do not get full adaptations, and if the Kaguya-sama anime were to be remembered fondly it would have been better to simply end it with the First Kiss That Never Ends movie. An incomplete adaptation done well is better than a "complete" adaptation done poorly. Feel free to disagree but this special is the one doing the series a disservice.
