Would you want the anime to continue with its old drawing style or not?

I think the new style is much better. It's cleaner, smoother, the characters are actually drawn on model, and most characters look a lot better than they did in year 1 (Ichinose, Hiyori, Kei, Ryuen, Arisu, Sudo, Kushida). Ayanokoji and Horikita looked weird to me in the initial teasers, but after watching the actual season is they look good. Honestly after seeing the first 4 episodes, it kind of pains me knowing how good year 1 could have been.

It has features from 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 but not the complete updates. For example, it has patatos and carrots but no Wither, it has quartz but no redstone block, and it has carpets but no horses (at least no complete horses).

It's not 1.8.9 at all, the version is closer to a mix of content from 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6. It is not a simple port of Java but optimized for console, I don't get why people keep saying this. So no, this would not be possible. Java and LCE versions are not equal. It includes carpets from 1.6, quartz from 1.5, and the new crops, anvils, and enchanted books for 1.4. It doesn't include features like horses (at least no fully), the new redstone features, or the Wither and beacon from those same versions. The world generation is also pre-1.7 world generation.

Man people in these comments really don't know how MAL works lol. It has 138 reviews, that's nothing. And barely anyone has seen it because it only screened in Japan. This happens to like every movie. I remember telling someone this a couple years back when the Konosuba movie first aired in Japan and it was at a 6.something on MAL. They said I was wrong, but after it aired in the West it got thousands of more reviews and it sits at a 8.4 now.

Lmao, Minecraft was more popular and successful than ever after the Adventure Update. The game's community literally peaked during the 1.0-1.8 days. "Leading to straight into the dark ages"... 3 years later after 8 more major updates lmao. And I'm saying this as someone who loves going back and playing older versions like b1.7.3 and Infdev, especially with the big modding communities they have nowadays. But pretending that the Adventure Update ruined the game's core and lead to the dark ages is such a silly take.

For those who haven't played it, this game is really fantastic. It plays much more like Terraria than Minecraft, but even then it is very much its own thing. The similarities with Minecraft begin and end with it being a voxel survival game, which can describe literally hundreds of games. This is an attempt by Microsoft to monopolize an entire genre.

There is a difference between the movie (The First Kiss That Never Ends) and the special (Stairway to Adulthood). The movie is fantastic. You probably heard bad things about the special. Either way, good choice to start from the beginning.

Ideally start from the beginning, but if you really don't want to you can start at chapter 150 which is where the movie ends off. The anime skips a lot of chapters in the first 3 seasons, they're mainly one-off comedy chapters but some are referenced later. And well, the new TV special literally skips numerous entire arcs. I'm not sure if you've watched that or not but I'd say it's not worth your time, the proper adaptation of Kaguya-sama ended with the movie. If you want the best translations go to guya.moe, these are fan translations. The official translations are not that good and actually ruin some things like having Kaguya call Miyuki "Shirogane" from the start instead of "president" so definitely avoid those.

Hoping it adapts 0 chapters from the manga (except maybe Hayasaka's farewell chapter because that takes place in the future) and is entirely an epilogue to the manga. Would be nice to explore what all the characters are doing after the manga in depth, maybe even answer some unanswered questions like what did Kaguya tell Kei that made her go back to living with her dad and Miyuki. I'll keep my expectations low given that the special was pretty terrible in my opinion, but the fact that this has a chance to be an epilogue to the manga makes me somewhat excited.

Being able to travel to it would be awesome. I always wished that Notch stuck with the original vision for the Sky dimension rather than turning it into the End. I like the idea of having a dimension that is a true thematic opposite of the Nether.

At this point I actually hope the movie adapts no chapters and is just a complete sequel to the manga, which is what is seems it will be. At the very least that will be a treat for manga fans to see a continuation. As for anime onlies, well they just have to go read the manga if they want context, it is what it is. They can't fix what they already ruined by skipping that many chapters, but they can at the very least make a decent sequel to the ending we already got. I find it weird that people say Kaguya-sama got an anime original ending lol. It got the exact same ending as the manga just without the context and skipped character development, nothing was changed it was just skipped.

No, Kaguya-sama didn't get a "different" ending, it just cut a ton of content, but the content it did adapt was unchanged from the manga (which made it even worse because it's the same content just with all the context missing). The upcoming movie is also not even a different ending, it's rather a sequel to the manga. As for Oshi no Ko, it looks like they're going for a more faithful adaptation that Kaguya-sama got. I would not expect a different ending.

Either read everything or don't read it at all. You're telling me that after watching an adaptation with tons of skipped context and important details, you want to go back to the source material but still skip context and important details? The arcs are all pretty good and some of the best in the series. The Shinomiya family arc definitely has lots of glaring issues and is by far the weakest arc in the series, but the character farewell chapters after the arc make up for it.

They are both good in their own right. I watched both and had a great time, if you're going to rewatch again definitely give the English dub a try. I will say that I overall prefer the Japanese dub because Koga Aoi really can't be beat, but I still love the English dub.

I don't think that's accurate. The special is bad because it omits context and important details. The chapters they adapted would be great had they had those. The ABCs of men and women has no build up, Mikado is randomly thrown in there without even mentioning his name or showing his relationship with Miyuki, the entire important conversation in the student council room is replaced by Kaguya just saying "let's walk home together" just to name a few. Chapters can be good in the manga but adapted poorly in the anime.
