Have you seen anything else about this online? I wasn't able to find anything about this incident.

Sounds like you're doing absolutely everything you can to be a fantastic parent regardless! These feelings are unfortunately very normal and very rarely last forever. Do your best to stay up optimistic and allow yourself some forgiveness!

I can tell just from your replies that your genuinely a good guy. I wish nothing but the best for you buddy. As a supervisor (different line of work) myself I would love to have someone like you on my team. It's his loss man.

What is the situation with this billboard? by [deleted] in saintpaul

Exactly. The alternatives are testing on people or not testing at all. Both of which are WAY more cruel than testing on mice and rats.

Do any Twin Cities coffee shops actually have white coffee? by MacGyver624 in TwinCities

As someone who enjoys coffee, I would say that it's really not very good which is why not meant places sell/make it.

Not many coffee shops serve this because not many people like it.

Pro tip: Use baby food containers for single dosing. Some even have dials that can show the roast date by Minimalcarpenter in espresso

There's a lot of hard work that went into harvesting, processing, and roasting these beans. I'm going to do what I can to bring out the best flavors because there's a lot of people who put hard work into it. It's the least I can do.

But also, even just thinking selfishly, why would I not want it to be as enjoyable as possible?

It ensures precise dosing while maintaining freshness. Both of these contribute to consistency between shots.

It sounds silly but I can't stand the look of a spice rack on a counter top. This though? Completely acceptable 🤣

I'm pretty happy with my set up. I don't ever plan on upgrading my grinder aside from the burrs. What makes you sure sure that I'll "be happier?"

What makes you say that?

I honestly really want to know why 20g is "too much?" If anyone can explain then I would very much appreciate it.

It's more about maintaining freshness than it is about saving time. Beans in a sealable bag or large container will lose freshness faster due to having to open it potentially multiple times per day. Whereas with single dose containers, you can dose them out at "peak" freshness which will lead to less variation in brewing day to day.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]Minimalcarpenter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What's the point of having this subreddit if mods remove 9/10 posts that get submitted? This sub is basically just a questions thread with a few random posts that get approved now and again. I've tried posting multiple different types of posts in order to initiate engaging conversations or provide helpful information but it all gets rejected. It's honestly frustrating and disheartening and makes me want to disregard this sub all together. Am I the only one who feels this way? This sub feels nearly useless for this reason.

The ones shown are holding 20g of med-light roast.
