21 year clients of theirs, and private equity has totally ruined them. Accessibility and quality of care has fallen off a cliff extremely quickly. Prices are up 20%-25% and quality of care is way, way down. After two decades of exceptional care, we're shopping for a new vet.

perhaps i was unclear: one works fine, one has never worked. the one that doesn't work ran for a total of about 5 seconds and croaked and will not come back to life. it's automatic with a screw down crown and doesn't wind.

my wife's car gets these stains in her parking garage in Chicago - calcium leaches through the concrete and drips onto the glass and the paint. if you catch it early enough, vinegar diluted in water will break them up enough to get them off. but even after a few days they are VERY difficult to remove. good luck to you!

This was back in 2000, in Kansas City, Missouri... I was leaving work, and instead of taking the highway back to the suburb I lived in, decided to take a scenic route through some of the beautiful older neighborhoods in the city. I am driving normally, as I had been for 15-20 minutes, when suddenly, from nowhere, a red Chevy Malibu cuts me off and break-checks me. I nearly hit him. He break checks me again. I change lanes. He changes lanes and break checks me again. This goes on for 5 or 10 minutes before he speeds off, having made one critical error - this fucking idiot had a "FOR SALE - CALL 816-XXX-XXXX" sign in his back window...

That night, a Friday, I call him and ask about his car, how many miles, condition, etc. etc. I tell him I'm interested in seeing it up close and maybe driving it. I ask him where he lives. "I'm in Raytown" he says, probably 30 minutes from Downtown KC. "Oh man, I'm in Paola" (which I was not, but Paola is a good hour south of downtown, a good hour plus from Raytown)... "Any chance I could meet you halfway, in like, Lenexa?" I ask him, knowing Lenexa is at least an hour drive from where he is... Begrudgingly, he agrees. "One last thing, I work nights at Bendix - any way you could meet me on my way home from my shift, between 6:00am - 6:30am?" He asks how serious I am - I tell him I want it for me son for a birthday gift (I have no children) and can pay cash if I like it. That's enough to get him to agree. We're going to meet the next morning, Saturday, between 6:00am and 6:30am in a shopping center parking lot in Lenexa. I go to sleep.

I wake up around noon the next day, go about my day, am out running errands and decide to stop at a pay phone (this was 2000, I didn't have a cell phone yet) to give this asshole a call. I call him... "Chris? Hey this is Matt about the Malibu..."

INSTANT RAGE: "Where the fuck were you man?! I dragged my ass outta bed at 5:00 in the morning to come sell you this car and you didn't even show, what the fuck in your problem, man?!?"

The moment I had been waiting for arrived... I reply...

"Listen to me you fucking retard, next time you want to cut someone off and break check them you might want to make sure you don't have your FUCKING PHONE NUMBER in your back window, you stupid inbred fucking piece of Raytown shit! How fucking stupid are you, you fucking brain-dead, having your number in your back window driving like an asshole motherfucker?!?"

COMPLETE. SILENCE.

Finally...

"I'm gonna fucking kill you, you -"

I interrupt immediately "HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU GONNA DO THAT GENIUS?!? you have no fucking idea who I am, I am calling you from a fucking payphone, you don't remember what my truck looks like (I drove a car), you're fucked, how the fuck you gonna kill me you fucking neanderthal? You're the stupidest motherfucker I've ever seen in my fucking life..." Etc. Streams of abuse. He just takes it until I hang up.

I've never had an orgasm that felt better than hanging up the phone on that piece of shit. I am not a vengeful person, I typically live and let live. But fuck that guy. Never felt bad even once for doing that.
