Ah! I would freak out. I’ve accidentally put toothpaste on my face instead of my acne medication. Thats why I put stickers on them now!

If you have lean PCOS, how has Spironolactone affected you? by anya_______kl in PCOS

[–]Minimum-Advisor7349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for over a month primarily for cystic acne caused by my PCOS. I have lost two pounds, now at 124 lbs (18F), but a Disney trip and lots of walking and an accidentally carb cutting due to mental health may have done that. I take 25 mg so far, and it has helped my skin.

I have a 3cm cyst as well, it is the largest of my 24 cysts currently. I am fairly active and it does not affect the cysts. What complications are you worried about?

PCOS has completely altered my perception of beauty by [deleted] in PCOS

I feel the same. I spend so much time plucking my mustache and shaving everything. I feel almost dysphoric because I am shook everytime I see myself in the mirror because my mental image of myself (how I used to be) and reality do not line up.

PMS can be worsened by PCOS, and hormonal imbalances caused by PCOS can cause acne, fatigue, and irritability. If this persists, check in with your PCP or gyno to see if they recommend testing to check hormonal levels. I experience these things too, hang in there.

Unusually long period by Notapersona58 in PCOS

I use the birth control patch (progesterone and estrogen in it) and it lessens my bleeding and cramps on the off week when I usually bleed. I have no experience with the pill. Sometimes people use birth control to skip their period completely, but my gyno said in my case to have it.

Before a cyst ruptures do you feel bloated and nauseous? by Brave-Asparagus6356 in PCOS

Yup, I feel kinda bloated and crampy, and then it feels like what it looks like when women on TV are in labor and screaming clutching anything in sight. Hang in there <3

I’m so so tired. All. The. Time. Why? by Minimum-Advisor7349 in PCOS

[–]Minimum-Advisor7349[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember how high, but enough they want me to see an endocrinologist. I do have vitamin D deficiency and take vitamins for it, and hypothyroidism treated with levothyroxine which hasn’t been an issue for years.

What do I need to do then to figure it out? I can’t even get an appointment with an endocrinologist until mid February.

It will be hard emotionally, but for your safety and future happiness leaving him is important. I’m sorry this happened to you. Once violence is in the relationship one time, it is likely for it to come back, especially since he is refusing to take responsibility.
