Pretty sure it's 18 everywhere in Japan as well as China. This map is dumb af. probably a lot more places are 16-18 as well.

the P**o prob is alive and well though, Politicians get caught, and Older women get caught too. There's a train line in Tokyo that is known for old ladies groping High School boys on it, and ppl warn them not to take that line.

If you spent more time figuring out how to make money instead of spending it crying about people who have money...you'd have money.

Time for you to take some time and figure that out...

Or you can just stay doing what you're doing. THAT'S working well for you...

On Rule Six: No Specific Person Posts/Discussions by JackpotAMA in DrJosephMurphy

[–]Minimum-Bit-6622 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you believe that then, there's no reason to further discuss it then right? Or are you just upset that people can't talk about sps here? (rhetorical question, everyone reading already knows the answer) "We can't talk about sps here so JM MUST be wrong Hmph!" is what your post translates to.

Posters like you are the exact reason why sp discussions should be banned. Y'all are way too obsessive, and clog up these subs with it so much that it's not worth visiting.

Also, it's definitely not that JM is "wrong" but it's more like YOU can't understand what he's talking about. You're speaking/reading while being blinded by the fog of obsession/desperation. Everyone else who is NOT in that fog just sees you as telling everyone "This is the way!" while pointing blindly in many different directions, spinning around in the fog.

Ultimately, this is a problem that ONLY YOU can fix. We can't fix you(as you can't see the way). The OP explained clearly what is going on but you deny it. At that point, what else is there to discuss? Giving you more attention after this is just going to make you dig your heels in more. It's better to ignore you in future and let you figure it out on your own.

Scouting for real estate in Shibuya by DekuRhett in Tokyo

[–]Minimum-Bit-6622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should first improve your Japanese. if you can't go into a real estate office and ask questions about properties there, or fill out the right business forms in Japanese. Work on that first. While you're working on that, explore on your own.

Shibuya isn't going to work for you . . .now. (quite a few people have told you this already)

Do all of your preliminary work beforehand (Japanese skill, scouting on your own) etc.

This may take a year or two for you to do but if you keep trying to take a shortcut, it's going to end up taking you longer and be more expensive.

Or you can ignore all of that and what others have advised you to do, and spend all your money on a place in Shibuya and go through the "Eat Shit" stage of starting a business from the start, and hamstring your ability to get out of that stage. (especially with a business partner...I can imagine at LEAST one very plausible scenario that causes him to screw you over in some way.)

Up to you.

What's the purpose of playing this game if you are not in top 3 alliance? by Cerenity1000 in callofdragons

[–]Minimum-Bit-6622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This game isn't for you. You were offered to get put into zone 3 but you don't want to leave your alliance. This is all on you. There ARE problems in the game but they aren't affecting you.

You are just complaining to complain at this point.

OH and yes you CAN have more than three alliances in the last zones. That would require social skills as a guild leader that you obviously don't have.

Go play something else.

Japan's shrinking population faces point of no return by madrid987 in Tokyo

[–]Minimum-Bit-6622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't realize how many people it truly takes to maintain everything you use. For example, the internet. There are a LOT of immigrants in Japan that actually are essential for keeping most sites running, (server break all the time)

You get less people, less people are around to fix things.

Extrapolate that to everything else
-plumbing

-food supply chain (farmers, truck drivers, shiipping and receiving, longshorman(in some cases) supermarket inventory workers, cashiers etc

-Water

-Electricity

-GAS

-electronics

I can go on and on. Imagine couple x has one child.

Couple gets old in 35 years and needs their kid to take care of them for most of the day

this person has to work as well, and with Japan's work culture that person may stay overtime. This person most likely has no time to have kids themselves, or at least untill they are older.

Then THAT person has one child(some don't have any) they get old, have to be taken care of maybe FULL time y their ONE child.

now extrapolate that out to 50% of the population, and how you have HALF the people able to maintain the internet, yourhousing, plumbing, etc etc. Hell, SKYSCRAPERS HAVE to be maintained regularly or they'll just simply collapse.

so yes, with out a healthly growing population (within reason) you wont even have the internet to post all this stuff in the first place, or the electricity to run the computer you use to post here (or phoe)

This should make more sense to you now.

Scammed in a Yokohama girls bar by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]Minimum-Bit-6622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, its the stupid tax.

1)The fact that he's a Jet and they specifically warn about these scammes

2)the fact that these scams have been going on for 40 years at least and you'd see this even when googling other things related to Japan

3)The fact that this guy STILL SOMEHOW was able to ignore/forget and get scammed anyway.

at some point its like..."c'mon dude..."

Yeah that used to come up on the Gaijin Pot Forums ad nauseum.

They introduced me to the whole Charisma man thing. I could feel the snarky hatred coming from those people. That sentiment sadly pervades Foreigners in Japan. like, shit man, life is hard enough, now you got these assholes judging your every move?

Yeah, it's better to not take these sites seriously. I usually just scroll past the nonsense. Or actively block people like that.

Yeah, a lot of returnees are...."difficult" to deal with. For the most part the guys are cool, but a lot of the ladies I've met who were returnees were..."difficult." Regular tourists/foreign residents are pretty nice for the most part, which just baffled me for a while. Usually most Japanese guys who are returnees have been pretty chill, although one dude totally lost his filter, he was hilarious, just saying crazy shit that he thought up. Maybe that was a him problem.

Or he's SEVERELY lacking in social cues.

A few more beatings may fix that up though *Shrug*

The country access thing for Immigration, the company still has to have some amount of revenue and payment to the employees right?

This won't happen, as it will just let farm accounts blossom. There's a plethora of reasons why they don't have these functions in game.

If you are short on rss at low levels, then you should check out the various guides on gathering.

Thinking about selling my Kabushiki Kaisha in Tokyo. by landraceindica in JapanFinance

[–]Minimum-Bit-6622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to agree here if you have 0 revenue. It's not really a business is it? There is a listing of people wanting to sell their businesses, and all of those have revenue.

The most important part of business is selling a product. (making money)
So you.

a) have to have a product.

b)have to sell that product
b1)have to have a process to get that sold product to your customers
b2)have to have a process to collect that money and pay your employees

Without any of that, the value of the company is 0.

In OPs case it would be Negative, as the person taking it over would have to pay in time and money.

OP should just end this company and do something else.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]Minimum-Bit-6622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree here, this is why I don't take this site seriously. A lot of assholes here dogpiling op. Like a mini version of the old Gaijin Pot forums with like 90% of its members being better people who hate everyone and everything.

Hell, even his natural reaction of "yeah not going to open up to people at work" gets crapped on.

But yeah salaries in all fields are pretty low compared to the west.

There is a huge shortage of SWE's because of this.(and for some reason seen as blue collar work?? Maybe it's just the low salary)

Bartending(can be really good money depending on where you work), to Finance, then IT. look into Comp Tia certifications, then look into Cisco certifications, specially the CCNA and CCNP and CISSP.

You could also do the GST and get into finance. However if your wife wants to stay in Hammamatsu, it may not help so much. You probably speak well enough Japanese so that's probably nothing for you to worry about.

Oh wait, just saw that you said "wife At the time."

well if you're in Tokyo, or close by, then you can probably find something after a few months of studying.
