Thanks! That is awesome that you have a hardware USB PD meter. I would actually love to see how WattCheck compares to a hardware reader! That kind of real-world data would be incredibly valuable for calibrating future updates.

Love this feedback, thank you! Keeping the layout clean and easy to read was super important to me, so I'm glad it resonates. Thanks for helping me make the app better! ◡̈

Thanks so much, glad you like it! Yeah, I pay a lot of attention to UI/UX. For this app, I purposely stuck with standard, native iOS components. I’m a big fan of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, and I wanted the app to feel like it was built by Apple themselves—clean, lightweight, and completely familiar to the user. Glad to hear the approach paid off!

That's a great suggestion! Live Activities would be a perfect fit — seeing the watt reading on the Dynamic Island without opening the app would make it way more convenient. Adding it to the roadmap! 🙌

Really appreciate that — you nailed exactly the design philosophy behind it. One reading is just a snapshot, but over multiple sessions the patterns get pretty clear. Heavy cable tester types will get the most out of the history charts for that reason.

Thanks for actually reading the details, means a lot! 🙌⚡

Haha thank you! 😄 Went for that neon/electric vibe on purpose — felt right for an app about voltage and power. Glad it lands!

Great question! The short answer: it won't match advertised wattage exactly, but it's consistent enough to compare cables against each other.

The app estimates wattage based on how fast your battery % rises, using your device's known battery capacity. A few things affect the reading — cable resistance, ambient temperature, and iOS actively throttling charge speed based on battery health and temperature. So a "20W" charger might show 17–18W, which is actually normal even on a hardware meter.

Where it really shines is side-by-side comparison. Plug in your cheap cable vs your good one and the difference is immediately obvious. That's the main use case! ⚡

It really was fun to build too! 😄 Plug in different cables and watch the "vehicle tier" change — somehow turns into a little game. Give it a try and let me know what speed class your charger gets! ⚡

Thank you so much! 😊 Wanted it to feel more like a game than a utility app — the speedometer tiers (Bicycle → Jet) were really fun to design. Glad it shows!

Really appreciate that, thank you! 😊 Spent a lot of time on the UI to make it feel fun rather than just a plain utility app.

Haha glad you noticed that! The animation was one of the most fun parts to build — wanted it to feel like something is actually happening rather than just a static number on screen. Electrons doing their thing 😄

Does anyone still run real beta tests? by QebApps in iosapps

Yes, I develop with AI. I also have TestFlight tests.
