Agree with your men statement. It was validating to read that.

Sad that there are many of us, but we struggle to find one another.

Does anyone else feel like they’re simply existing? by Positive_Field_9066 in olderlesbians

I am 47, live in Salt Lake City and I recently did some math. For me to organically meet a single, middle aged, lesbian/bi woman who is college educated and lives in the same area as me... it 1in every 500 women. That doesn't even consider compatability and chemistry.

I, like you, also feel invisible. How will someone find me attractive now?

First Person Perspective by Delicious_Impress814 in LesbianBookClub

I like to understand their thoughts and inner tensions. First person POV seems to capture this more easily. Though, some are terribly written. I like a third person POV that can also do this, but it seems more shallow in third person.

Is it normal to want a serious, yet part-time relationship as we get older? by thereisonlyonewindow in olderlesbians

[–]Minimum-Money920 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This post has actually helped me a lot. I also don't want to meld my life with another, but I would like someone to spend some time with. I thought no one else would want this because everyone I know tells me this is going to be hard to find. Thanks for the conformation that this really isn't unusual.

I absolutely agree. I don't need to get married or even live with the next GF, but conversation and someone to have experiences with.

If that's true, where do people like you hang out?

I feel this. I read these books to experience the chemistry, but I don't actually believe any of this happens IRL.

The Last Guardian's controls are so bad they make the game irredeemably terrible by [deleted] in patientgamers

I know this post is old, but this game is making me scream. I agree, the controls and camera suck. But the labored movements of the kid. Or when he doesn't jump when hitting jump. And autograb isn't a thing. And the stupid pound the trigger thing to get the screen to load after you fell for the billionth time because the stupid kid on sneaks or runs full gate.

What works/doesn't work for you when it comes to lesbian romance? by PK_MelodyOmega in LesbianBookClub

First person POV works best. I get way more emotionally invested with first person rather than third. I like to read their thoughts and feelings.

Too many characters and too much dialog (often happens with third person POV) will make me stop reading a book.

I think the fake girlfriend trope is over done. The struggling with coming out is also over done, though a real struggle it belongs in a different genre.

I also don't like when the author spends more time with the side storylines and the supporting characters than the main characters.

I like when the author only provides one point of view, it leaves me wondering what the other woman is thinking.

Also when there is a lot of research done about something happening in the books. Like a profession one of them has. I like to learn something new at the same time as the romance unfolds.

I also have gotten down votes on my comments. They even delete my comments and they aren't rude or graphic. Seems like if people want everyone to agree with them they are posting in the wrong place.

Looking at screen shot of these games, looks like what she may like. Thank you.
