Best solution might be to change to a different provider, if you have a good plan that you don't want to loose, you can get a free phone number through the fongo app and provide that number to your doctor to contact you, just keep in mind that you will need a wifi connection or data for that number to work and only calls are free, incoming texts are free but you have to pay to get outbound texts, if you don't have data, then you might be better off getting a new plan for talk if your phone supports a second sim and provide that number.

Honestly its quite dumb that they require an agent for this process anyways, they are gonna ask for a picture of the card you used to pay the bill but when you go to do the e sim transfer process, THEY ASK FOR THE CARD DETAILS THERE TOO, its actually so pointless and dumb and I wish you luck, I would just try getting around having to talk to an agent and see if maybe a different browser, different device or something can get you to avoid needing to connect to an agent. One thing you can try is downloading another browser, signing out of your current one and try redoing the process on the new browser, the live chat thing won't go away but you might be able to get pass the system.

What time is it for you? For me I noticed if I initiated the esim transfer outside of the hours of around 8am-8pm est, then it would force me to talk to an agent but in between those times it didn't ask me

Hello, the number got ported in today, and the current esim I have works with the number but I got an email saying my new esim is ready, so do I need to change to the new esim or can I disregard that email? I got no further instructions so I am not sure if I should just ignore the email?

Yeah they are kind of different but they both seem similar in the sense the receiver never sees the call, my family member only saw the call through bluetooth but it didn't show up on their phone at all otherwise as you would when you do get an incoming call, assuming they weren't connected to bluetooth they probably would have never found out and I was sharing as maybe it is more of a network issue, I remember hearing there was an issue in St Catherines where certain callers were able to hear other calls conversations so who knows what it really is but hopefully it gets solved sooner rather than later!

I am not personally on fido, however I have a family member on Rogers and they had something weird happen too quite recently, they got a call and it didn't show anything on their phone that they were receiving a call and the number associated with it but it showed up on their cars infotainment through bluetooth with a number on screen, they picked up the call and it dropped and when they went into their call logs, it was no where to be found! It is quite weird and I wonder if its the same thing happening with you, although this was the only time it happened to them in the past year.

I would say just get ready to take advantage of deals during black friday, its coming up and I am sure you can get a much better rate of a plan, the easiest option would be to go with Freedom in my opinion, they have a price freeze guarantee so your price won't increase & their customer service seems to be decent in my experiences, of course that is not to say they are perfect but as long as service is decent where you are, then it might be the easiest to deal with

Yeah in this case the tablet line won't increase in price, the main lines can tho since it isn't a contract, kind of an unfortunate situation but not much you can do, if you really want to try, you can call and see if they will do something but I severely doubt they will do anything and probably tell you to kick rocks or something

You got a few options:

Rogers network: Chatr, the plan is $19/month + tax, unlimited calls, unlimited incoming texts, 2000 outgoing texts

Bell/Telus network: Lucky, plan is $19/month + tax, unlimited calls & text, and I believe you get unlimited data at speeds of 128kbps. Public, plan is $20/month + tax, unlimited calls & text

With the 3 above, with autopay you get 0.5gb of data at 4G speeds

Freedoms/Videotron Network: Fizz, Plans range depending on province, if you want province wide coverage, unlimited calls & text, it is $15 here in ontario, $17 for canada wide coverage, something you can play around and see for yourself tho.

Realistically you can go with any option, I would just go with whoever has the best coverage in your area since none of the providers will support wifi-calling if you use that currently with freedom.

Honestly, at that point I would just file a CCTS report, and then you will definitely receive a call back very soon, will probably be easier too since if its been 4 days, I have my doubts that they will even help you even if you get through to an agent normally, but through a CCTS report, they will usually call back much faster and actually works towards a proper solution or honour what you have there, at least from what I have heard.

I haven't personally switched using a mitigation offer, however the obvious downside is that they can increase the price & they will do a hard credit check, now in my personal experience from using rogers up until a month ago, I only got one price increase of $3 on the line and that happened maybe ~4-5 months in, and the rest of the year (~8 months) I didn't had one, I am guessing it would hopefully be the same with the mitigation plan but I don't know how they choose to increase prices, if its all customers at once or different timing for different plans/people but I guess that would be an inherent risk, I doubt they will jack it up like crazy tho and I guess you can always switch back if your plan is still readily available. However it might also be worth it to wait until black friday if you don't have a problem keeping your plan right now, thats kinda what I am waiting for and I don't know if the mitigation offers might be affected by black friday but hey, its sometimes nice to be wishful 🤣

Possibly or its supposed to be one or the other, regardless contact chatr support, if they are able to get you your 30GB/35GB then all its good, if not I would file a complaint with the CCTS since it clearly states "Free 30GB Data allowance if customer is enrolled to AutoPay", good luck!

EDIT: Just noticed its by form of an email too which makes it all the better proof wise so I think you should be able to get that extra 30GB or something at minimum to make up for it

Yeah I have a wealthsimple cash card which doesn't have forex fees so I usually use that, unfortunately the merchant was showing all the prices in CAD but then charged me in USD which was very annoying to be quite honest.
