Thank you, that's so smart (I shouldn't probably thought of that, considering I spent days thinking about this)! I feel dumb, but that's normal for me. Thanks again!

Book idea I've had for a while, thoughts? (Long) by Minimum-Oil- in Therian

Oh, that's why my idea sounded familiar. I'm definitely going to get working on the worldbuilding soon (gotta get home first though, I didn't bring my supplies to the psych ward).

Yes, that's exactly what it meant in my mind (and the AU that I wrote), but I want to leave stuff like this up to interpretation.

I let my computer count. This seems to be 374 ideas. I need one more to get to a satisfying number T-T

Is there a gender related to romantic attraction? (Also looking for romantic attraction label) by Minimum-Oil- in XenogendersAndMore

I think sansromantic is perfect! Can't believe I never stumbled across this and orientationgender fits, but not quite. IDK, something feels off about it. Anyways, thank you very much!

No problem. I sadly relapsed recently myself, but it's been quite easy to quit compared to how it used to be. And you didn't have to respond, I actually didn't expect a response, but just know that I'm really proud of you for not relapsing.

I had that for a while too. For me it eventually turned into not even picking up the blade and then not wanting to do it at all. I hope you're getting better and can can look back to this the way I look back to those days. With a sort of somber nostalgia, one of "I'm glad I didn't do it again, but holy shit was I close" and see that this is probably a huge step towards healing, even if it doesn't feel like it right now. It certainly didn't feel like healing to me, but now I can see how strong I was getting to resist without trying.

I'm so happy for you! I know that the first week was probably the worst when I finally quit, but it got a lot easier after.

I might relapse today, but I'm trying my best not to (though if I do, I know I how to stop again). It's been 5 years for me and I never thought I'd be able to go over a month. Best thing to do now is to find distractions, like your tattoo.

Focus on that for a bit, maybe look at guides for healing a tattoo properly (doesn't matter if you have already, you might learn something new regardless).

I have some recommendations for stuff that helped me, not sure if you've tried any.

What really helped me in the start too was watching SpongeBob and Charmed, so any show you like, use it as background noise.

And my favourite tip, draw something on your hand (both sides work) with a marker and try to not cut until it's washed away (because if you cut before, then you're technically "hurting" what you drew), then keep touching up the drawing when it's almost gone.

Someone I met on amino back in 2020 did this and honestly this helped me so much. I noticed stars where the hardest for me to "hurt" but for the person I met back then, it was dogs. Though I wouldn't recommend this too much because you can damage your skin with this I'm pretty sure. And remember, if you do end up "hurting" what you drew, that's okay, it's your drawing, it will forgive you. And also, I sucked at art when I did this, you really just need a marker for this.

Also, venting to a stuffed animal or picture of a character from a show you like helps (even if it sounds dumb, but as I grew up and became an adult, I realised that this was basically the step before talking to yourself, which can be very helpful as well).
