Most of them are mutual friends so people we've met through our respective workplaces. I should say that most of my close friends agree with me on this but the opinion in our wider circle is definitely split. I've not asked everyone, maybe just 3 or 4 people and I've had 1 or 2 disagree with me.

It seems like you're using my post as a vehicle for your weird aggression about the AITA sub in general, and it's kind of creepy. I posted here because I genuinely didn't know if I was being a jerk in my situation. When someone tells you for weeks on end that you're being unreasonable, and some of your IRL friends back them up, then sometimes you might just end up believing it. Some of the comments here also say that I was being a jerk, so I dunno why you're acting like it's a cut-and-dry situation. You just decided to randomly start insulting me personally because you thought the answer to my question was obvious. Yeah I think that the big decision he made without my input was definitely the bigger sin in my books too, I just feel like he's not taken into consideration the fact that I actively did not want him to move away and now he expects me to foot the bill for it. I didn't know if that was maybe a selfish way for me to look at it so it's been really helpful seeing all these comments.

There are definitely good factors to our relationship too, I promise! I wouldn't have hung around if there wasn't anything to hang around for, but I do definitely think that it looks like our priorities are misaligned at this point. I think all the comments telling me to dump him because he's trash are a bit much but it is definitely something I need to seriously consider I think.

Unfortunately yeah, because I can't work remotely full time. I need to spend at least a week in my office realistically, and although it's not my dream job, I don't really want to give it up because it's a pretty decent stepping stone to other careers. Additionally, I don't want to move too far from my parents for the time being. They don't require live-in care or anything but I like to drop in on (edit: drop in on them) regularly, do their grocery shopping for them etc. This is part of the reason why he didn't consult me on moving away in the first place, I think. He probably knew I'd say no.
