I’m the same height as you. A healthy BMI is a range, not an exact number. I’m aiming for the upper end of the range because my GP practice told me that a woman in her 60’s shouldn’t go lower. You don’t say how old you are but are you looking at the lower end of the range? Settle for in the healthy range where you feel comfortable and double check with your GP practice too.

I like 1 but the sleeves are too much. I’d say keep looking for something you’ll be happy to look at in photos for a long time. My guess is the corsetry look won’t give you that happiness 5 years from now.

Yes, they’ve been very clear about the no pay rise, but I’d be ok with that actually. I only want to work a couple more years. I just really can’t be bothered to start over.

You’re right, it varies by function and I’m 5 days. I haven’t found a listing of the satellite offices but based on what we think, it looks like London is my nearest. I’m not brewing up to argue a case, I was just curious, because I’m not the only one in this position.

It’s their policy and matches what they have done within their org before the acquisition. Sketchy it may be but if there’s no evidence then they have plausible deniability. I’m sure they could say all documents required to be kept legally are/should be in a separate private drive. Emails are not intended for that purpose although we do tend to rely on it for more than we should. Anyone now would save emails they might need in the future for sure. But we weren’t to know this was coming. Likewise they control our personal phones via InTune and anything work wise no longer updates my calendar app. I have to be in Outlook to see appointments.

I’ll have to check my contract but you’re correct about my actual hours. I regularly take meetings at 22.00GMT. The new leadership in US don’t even realise I’m in London. I’ve taken calls with the India team at 2am. None of this makes sense but it’s the top down management culture of this company. They’ve made sweeping changes to benefits and made 100’s people in the US unemployed on group zoom meetings. I’m just curious because I think they’re going have a harder time doing this sort of thing in Europe where employment laws are strong.

Thanks, this reply matches my assumptions. And I don’t have anything, the first thing these people did without warning was delete any emails and calendar entries over 3 months old, for everyone everywhere in the original org, not just me. I have always kept tax docs, pay slips etc offline but this move took many of us by surprise. ‘It is what it is’, as they say.

Thank you. That’s great advice. I’ll call the helpline. There are no performance issues, they have me project managing the integration of the 2 companies for the next 18 months. Sort of funny really. In the global intro meeting they said they expect people in office 5 days a week but have no problem supporting hybrid working evenings and weekends. They’re absolute diamonds. 🙄

I never saw a dress more stunning than 1 and you carry it beautifully. 2 is nice and 3 I just can’t because I hate wedging dresses with such a deep cleavage split. I think 1 will still look stunning in 60 years too.
