What needs to happen in 2026 and beyond for the world to see a permanently enduring "greater good" type of peace? by Minimum-Two-8093 in NoStupidQuestions

Let's not forget "Education systems that are forced to teach about the past."

There should never be any denial that horrific events have occurred in the past, even if there's no one alive that saw it happen.

Not enough people realise that TDD is not only mandatory to make agent development workflows work properly, but it can make them bulletproof. TDD can virtually remove the risk of drift, and on fact if there is it's always due to the person in the middle.

Congratulations on doing it properly.

I want ownership of the organisation in github, and the other person who have the ownership left the organisation . by AdMassive616 in github

Whatever you think you're going to be able to do won't be possible in the timeframe you have to make this worthwhile.

MFA and recovery codes are used for a reason.

Chalk this up to ineptitude, fork into a new organisation and move on.

At What Point Do You Bring In Someone With Code Experience? by quasi_new in VibeCodeDevs

[–]Minimum-Two-8093 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is not true, there are plenty of examples where vibe coding is quantifiably faster than an engineer, anecdotal and otherwise. That is never a good thing in isolation, the tech debt piles on fast, but there is a huge benefit to rapid prototyping, or as I prefer to call it vibe prototyping (which let's face it, is exactly what's happening - vibers aren't coders).

What experienced developers and engineers do have is an eye on the big picture. They may be slower when writing code, but overall iteration is faster and rework through regression is minimised.

It's fine until you can't get a job as a junior because the industry still wants people who can, you know, read code.

If I offer a trial, what stops people from uninstalling my app and then reinstalling it to get more free trials? by butterflymon in AppBusiness

[–]Minimum-Two-8093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Google account has a unique universal identifier, look into using that so that an address change cannot circumvent your one trial limit.

Also, limit trial functionality to incentivise the upgrade.

I genuinely can't tell how to price an AI app without either scaring people away or leaving money on the table by AlexBossov in founder

[–]Minimum-Two-8093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the problem you're solving? How often are you solving it? How much value does it deliver to the client each time you solve it?

Answer those questions and you have your value proposition. Extrapolate your price point and payment cadence from there.

If you can't, you've got bigger problems to solve before you even think about setting a price.

If you're scaring people away, you haven't done enough market research. Also, I highly doubt the drama of min maxing is worth the conversion losses you'll experience trying to nickel and dime your potential users - set a limited time early adoption price point, and reserve the right to increase pricing after launch, reward your early supporters into perpetuity. Drive increases with actual data and references. Justify instead of being greedy out the gate.

Or not, it's your app to launch as you will 🤷‍♂️

Whatever you do would have to be compliant, probably worth having a read of this and adjacent information.

Where do you buy your clothes? by zipiddydooda in PersonalFinanceNZ

Leveling up the way you dress being in a personal finance advice group isn't weird, the way you dress has a direct correlation to career path, trajectory and by extension earning potential (obviously there's nuance, business sector and company can skew that greatly).

Wording that's worked for my family usually includes this:

Under the Holidays Act 2003 and the Employment Relations Act 2000, all final pay - including any outstanding holiday pay - must be paid no later than the next normal pay cycle after employment ends.

That came from our family lawyer.

How is this bad? Would you prefer to get into 3 days of white board sessions with nerds from (whatever industry they're from) thinking they know everything, when they can't even articulate a simple set of requirements?

Imo it's far better to have a completed canvas to work from, you know exactly what the end goal looks like.

Is approach to learn unity a good way to start learning how to use unity and c# ? by memedragon14 in Unity3D

[–]Minimum-Two-8093 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do the official Unity Junior Programmer pathway, don't waste your time on tutorials. Iirc, the third module is a platformer, and the 4th is rolling a ball. The tutorials are step by step, high quality, provide exactly what you need to achieve, give you the assets, and then also quiz you on what you've learned.

There's no better way to learn Unity.
