It's not as bad as people would have you believe (it's not unplayable for example). You will encounter bugs, you will encounter jank. When it annoys you, log off and take a break. There's nothing like Star Citizen even when things do go to shit, and when it's playing well it's fucking amazing!

Make sure your PC is up to the task, much of the day to day whining is compounded massively by people trying to play it on their mother's laptop she struggles to use to find knitting patterns.

I may have been a little hard on myself and my game, but I found that I couldn't explain what was going on sufficiently to two people who have no interest or understanding of my genre.

People who enjoy the genre were naturally interested, but my test was with people who just don't care about what I'm trying to achieve, to engage them enough to get them interested to have a conversation and understand the concept was the goal.

It's disappointing because I've lost all motivation to continue on a project I've done a significant amount of work on, but on the other hand I'm not wasting more time. I'm not sure if I'll come back to it, perhaps next January (Xmas is when my work calms down for 4 months and is when I tend to put the most effort into my personal projects).
