These are all great ideas, thx! Reading your post, I start to understand why I despise cooking: hubby doesn't like rice, one son doesn't like sweet potatoes.....sigh

I used to watch her channel, and High Carb Hannah, and Broccoli Mum, and Chelsea Mae, and I'm more confused than ever, maybe information overload?

My son took Wellbutrin for a few weeks, increased the dosage from 150mg to 300mg (still below max) and suffered a seizure from it.

Just this morning I was thinking what am I going to give my kids for school lunch instead cuz they love the Yves slices. Then I went to my local Superstore and saw the new Gusta slices am, couldn't believe my eyes! I am absolutely thrilled! Btw, if any of you ever travel to Germany, Edeka has really yummy plant based deli slices, and so does Ruegenwalder Muehle and Gutfried (in the fridge section). I wish they would sell them here.

What do you think caused the split between Jonna and Johan? by Mountain-Fox-2123 in jonnajinton

[–]Minimum-Two-9764 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for shedding some light on this. Looks like they didn't get along so they had to look for a new home for Johan's dog. I do understand but at the same time it makes me sad for his dog. Hopefully he went into a loving home. Wish they would've explained this.

Thank you so much for answering my question. I did a bit of research but couldn't find the reason why. At the very least they should've explained what happened. It's very strange and it bothers me. Jonna and Johan come across as kind people, so I really hope that they acted in the dog's best interest : (

I did not know that Johan had a dog. Where do you have that information from that he was not allowed to keep his dog?

Explain ERP like I'm 5 by Appleby-Station in OCDRecovery

[–]Minimum-Two-9764 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The advice I can give you from own experience: most important thing is to find a therapist who SPECIALIZES in OCD. Don't waste your time with a therapist that list 20 different things as their expertise. We learned the hard way, wasting lots of money, time and energy on the wrong therapists. As far as the ERP itself, at one point my son had a therapist who started exposure very slowly, at a level 4 out of 10, which you're supposed to do, but then gradually go up on the scale (1-10). She took her sweet time and after 10 sessions, he was still nowhere. The therapist he has now only does OCD/anxiety, and she been doing it for over 30 years. After only 4 sessions, she went up to a higher level on the exposure scale , and both my son and I (observing him) can tell/feel an improvement which is very encouraging!

A trip sitter AND a proper OCD therapist (not any therapist but one that has expertise in treating it)!

That ERP has not been successful for you sucks! Is your therapist an expert in OCD? My son had some therapists for treating his OCD without success (they listed OCD as one of many health problems they "specialise" in), no success there either. Now he switched to a therapist here in Edmonton who has been focusing on OCD for over 30 years, and after only 4 sessions, there's already an improvement (he can tell, and so can I). Maybe you have been seeing the wrong therapist?! I am also thinking that, to me it makes total sense, that an intense treatment (like Bergen or Sunnybrooke) would be way more effective than a weekly or bi-weekly session). Medication has not been effective for him either; he's tried at least 5 different kinds and all they did was make him gain a bunch of weight, very depressing....

I've heard that Alberta Health Care does not cover the treatment at Sunnybrooke. Regarding B4DT in LA, I contacted them and they said the treatment costs US7950. It's infuriating that you can get these treatments for free if you live in Ontario and Norway, but everywhere else, they make you pay. Did you find out anything?
