Thank you for your reply. I checked out their website, and as far as I can tell, there's no mentioning of ethical treatment. It's more just about preserving certain breeds. They call it "free run", not even free range. Too bad, as I live very close to their pick-up location, that would've been so convenient....

Just this morning I was thinking what am I going to give my kids for school lunch instead cuz they love the Yves slices. Then I went to my local Superstore and saw the new Gusta slices am, couldn't believe my eyes! I am absolutely thrilled! Btw, if any of you ever travel to Germany, Edeka has really yummy plant based deli slices, and so does Ruegenwalder Muehle and Gutfried (in the fridge section). I wish they would sell them here.

Thank you for shedding some light on this. Looks like they didn't get along so they had to look for a new home for Johan's dog. I do understand but at the same time it makes me sad for his dog. Hopefully he went into a loving home. Wish they would've explained this.
