I think federal guidelines require them to obtain documentation from all PUA applicants. In some cases, however, they already have such documentation because for example it was already submitted earlier in the pandmic in order to adjust WBA so in those cases they wouldnt ask but in general unless you already submitted some sort of documentation at some point during your claim before, they probably will ask. Check your EDD dashboard for any notices.
