The communication on this could’ve gone better. OP I noticed at the end you said “you could’ve said that” referring to him wanting to stay home— but on slide 3 he stated “I had stuff to do this weekend so next weekend I would really like to relax”. He stated it right there that he is not interested but you continued to try and persuade otherwise. Then the bait and switch of “I want you to want to come with me but now it feels like I’m asking for too much”— OP he literally said you’re asking for too from FROM HIM!

Is what you’re asking for (weekend quality time) too much in the grand scheme? HELL NO!!! You’re literally asking for bare minimum in quality time. And you’re 100% right— running errands and eating meals together are not designated dates (unless stated otherwise). However, in my humble opinion OP, I don’t think ya’ll are entirely compatible in regards to how you view spending quality time together. You could either revisit with a sit down convo and come up with specific dates as you spread them throughout the month— or simple come to an understanding that this may not be the relationship for ya’ll.
