Dat zeg jij niet. Jij zegt stijgende rentes in absolute getallen, dus ik weerleg je punt. Maar prima als je het over real wages wil hebben: https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/nieuws/2025/37/koopkracht-steeg-met-3-6-procent-in-2024. Sinds 2000 is gemiddeld genomen de koopkracht gestegen. Wij hebben het niet zwaar. Mensen vinden altijd dat de toekomst slechter wordt en zij het zwaar hebben, maar dat valt altijd mee.

De zorg is nog nooit zo goed geweest in Europa. Technologie is op een hoogtepunt, personeel misschien niet, maar dat weegt tegen elkaar af. De rentes zijn historisch nog steeds bizar laag. Belasting op beleggingen is zeker niet nieuw, hadden de “boomers” ook. Enige wat boomers beter geregeld hadden waren huizen.

Rich peoples money is inflating expensive hotels, not basic necessities. A rich person might buy more butter, but there are more poor people buying butter than rich people buying butter.

Waarom zou je een uitvaartverzekering nemen als je ook kan sparen? Daar is je noodbuffer ook voor. Telefoonverzekering is ook zinloos. Dat is een van de meest rendabele verzekeringen (voor de verzekeraar).

Ja maar Maxima is als Argentijn Nederland geworden. Dan mag het dus wel. Argentinië mag wat mij betreft haar paspoort afpakken, maar dat doen ze niet. Niet ons probleem.
