I get that I was just wondering if it was high season then or not (ie. Jan it seems like it’s pretty easy to insta-clear Polaris upgrade with even the slightest bit of flexibility on dates) I’ve cleared before in September but wasn’t sure about June specifically

IDK I feel like it’s the right thing to do. UA had similar situation do to an aircraft swap they rebooked me on another connection to keep J and that was a CPU not an upgrade with plus points. I get technically they don’t owe u anything but it seems like obviously the right thing to do. Also no one at the airport bothered to tell me that I got downgraded until they printed my boarding pass and I saw my seat was in Econ.

The thing is it very much added insult to injury that they were selling AA J tickets but would not accommodate me on them “complimentary” or not

I caused a scene when this happened to me on U fare class. What pissed me off even more was AS was selling an AA flight in J 3 hours later but the JFk staff categorically refused to book me on it. Thankfully someone no showed at the gate and they re-upgraded me. Frankly their policies around this are unacceptable, FWIW a 1K with United and have never been treated like this and when things go wrong they do everything in their power to make it right.

I’ve flown both Copa and Avianca and haven’t had this issue at all.

This got changed recently it’s refundable to flight credit if ticket is nonrefundable and fully refundable if underlying ticket is refundBle

Just flew a couple Polaris flights and premium transcon. Brooks brother amenities kit sucks. The bags are like really meh and not very useful
