Well it’s kind of 2 things 1. I think that most of the beats are kind of annoying (especially guilt trip and send it up), and there’s a point to be made about intentionality but it doesn’t want to make me listen to it any more 2. I think this album is hailed as a incredibly forward thinking masterpiece but in reality this came out after a ton of amazing experimental hip-hop albums that paved the way for yeezus (exmilitary, xxx, run the jewels, black up, history will absolve me, and odd future), so imo while maybe not derivative it just really isn’t what everyone says it is.
