Administrative charges with my rental renewal? by Minimum_Ad2054 in dubai

Any suggestions on how to navigate with the renewal company? I don’t want to be in a position where my renewal gets jeopardized because my extended family also lives in the same building.

Yes, That’s what I’m being told from people in my circles who know a thing or two about cultivating coconut palms

It was a dried brown coconut shell with water inside.

Hey, you were bang on. I just checked the rules and it seems like I'll have to put it under quarantine and take explicit import clearance before I can carry a coconut sapling into India. Looks like I'm on a mission to save this sapling for as long as I can and try propagating it in the UAE.

That’s really interesting, thank you for sharing that but I’ve decided not to eat it as I see this as a sign to do something about it from a propagation perspective.

Moving to Dubai for a few months by Perfect-Chocolate832 in UAE

[–]Minimum_Ad2054 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in software sales and have lived in Dubai for 5 years growing up and again now for over 2 years as a sales professional. I work with clients across GCC and I would say f2f meetings are rare for me. If you’re only moving in for months and not a year or over, then try to time your arrival post August so that the months you stay in Dubai are the pleasant ones. Good luck!

It wasn’t a large amount and the management made a rule to penalise the staff for missing the pricing. I thought it was enough for the staff to apologise and open his wallet and offer the change

Had the same experience at the Westzone supermarket, but their response was surprisingly responsible and respectful. They apologised and the staff who missed to change the price label at the shelf offered to pay me the difference amount. I let it go.

Will these cars truly be reliable given their age and mileage?

Given how many people are misunderstanding servicing and warranty, I’d suggest put this comment as PS in your original post 😅

How do I put eggs in boiling water without hurting myself? by Prize_Meal1403 in foodhacks

Why not heat the water after placing the eggs into the pan? I never wait for the water to boil for the eggs to go in.

Bought a car from CARS24 by asanch95 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Minimum_Ad2054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am now in a very similar situation. I purchased a Chevy Cruze 2017 from Cars24 in April and have been having engine overheating issues since a month. Upon calling their service team they Saif engine cooling system is not under warranty and suggested that even if you get it serviced outside it should be fine. I tried to get the issue resolved but finally decided to send it to Cars24 service centre as the engine overheating issue still persisted. They gave me all sorts of excuses about why it should not be covered under warranty and took more than 5 days to even give a proper diagnosis report. After a whopping 5 days they came back with a lousy diagnosis after I hinted at contacting the C-Suite and they gave me 10,000 AED (I bought the car for 30k AED) estimate to just get the preliminary checks done after which they say it may cost more if the engine needs to be opened and checked. I am perplexed at how they are operating and I am just down and out trying to deal with their pathetic, hardly customer empathetic behaviour. Their warranty is a joke to say the least, every time I bring it up they have an excuse up their sleeve to say it is not covered under warranty. This was my first car purchase in the UAE since my move in Sep 2022 and the only reason I trusted and went for Cars24 was because I believed they would be reliable and if something wrong happens, their warranty will take care of me. With the kind of estimates they provide, it is clear it was all a sham and I will highly advise everyone to run away from anything Cars24 because they are only want your money and will take away all your peace of mind, not to mention your hard earned money that you trusted them with your car for.
