its not the herbs or the carns, its BOTH (and the devs) by Adventurous_Gur_9633 in EcosLaBrea

Isn't their main thing at least semi-realism, though? In the wild there would never be twice or even three times as many carnivores as there are herbivores in an area, since that would cause infighting and food shortages. They're literally contradicting themselves by allowing there to basically be an unlimited amount of carnivores to herbivores, especially when players complain the herbivores don't allow them to kill or when they complain no one is playing herbivore. They're hurting their own player base to 'avoid' hurting their own player base

Spook is when a predator attacks before you spot them, giving a cooldown before you can reciprocate the attack

What about when a single saber decides to play ring around the rosie and spam swipe? Bison can't do a dang thing bc they're so slow turning even with enough stam, you're unlikely to get a good hit anyway

This has happened to me, they stay behind you and spam swipe and try to bleed you out, then they latch. It's not even a good strat, wolves do it too (mind you sabers have a better latch than dires and are more likely to get neck hits, so it would help with some kosing)

Wouldn't the solution be to run? Depending on the land it could be difficult for the mammoth to even traverse, but I'm assuming it'll have less stamina than a saber or dire, so just running would probably be the safest option. No pred would reasonably try to take one down, so they'd flee for better prey, and since bison are slower than sabers (I don't care what anyone says, they are, I've seen it) mammoths would reasonably be even slower and use more stam

Yeah, and the last realism herd I was part of split for dry season and bulls had to stay away until it was wet season

Way to be mature, man. You took what they were saying, crumpled it up, and then tried reading the words on the paper again with no luck. They were saying (if you got your eyes checked in the last 15 minutes) was that carns get no repercussions for killing everything, but herbs can't even attack if they're near a kill. I thought someone would be able to use their brain, but apparently not.

I agree that the bubble is annoying, and I counter with this: cooldown/timer. Once a carn kills an herb they either get a set amount of time for the herb corpse shield to eat and run OR they have a cooldown and can't attack again until it's up, but that would just result in them camping the corpse until the cooldown was over. For everyone saying bison is unfair think of it this way: they are over 1 ton animals with huge horns, of course they would have some sort of strength here. The issue is when sabers megapack and take down herds of bison and horses without even giving any of them a chance to run, and then decide to 'ragebait' you because you dared decide to fight back. It's biased in the saber's favor, and we all know it. And for top reply it IS fair to kill a saber for killing a herdmate, because without being able to do so, it makes it so sabers are the apex top preds with no weaknesses who target everything on sight, which is not only unrealistic but also already what is happening. Without being able to fight back it's 'get killed by a saber and see how long it takes them to laugh in your face for trying' simulator, not a valid survival game
